It's not the questions that bother me. I help 1-5 graders learn about computers 6 hours a week, they ask a lot of questions. They are relentless.
It's the insults to the folks that answer those questions. That's why Tom gets so much flak. I'm going back to bed. J |

I'm gonna jump in real quick. My son Jonah is 6, has Asperger's, ADHD, OCD, Dysgraphia, and the list goes on. I could see Jonah getting into this same position. His brain works at hyper-speed. He speaks before he thinks.
We were at the doctor's office the other day and Jonah freely told everyone that they were either fat of skinny...to their faces. That is just the way he is...I can tell him to stop, but he just can't help it. Nathan

Hmm... my post really was well meaning. In the grand scheme of things - all this is a spek in the eyes of eternity. Everyone will be wormfood. Go out and enjoy life.
P.S. I can't say anything about Ted, but having conversations and listening to the performance art from Cavalli and Riggs... they give the gold - and too much of it. As for the Magic Café, Greg A. has often generously given tons of sage advice to many here... and still does despite the numerous snake bites one can receive in this realm. P.P.S. re: Entity's mob thoughts - I think it is important that internet wise - posting on youtube has much more viral potential to turn people against others - than this green spot. My apologies if you were including me in the mob thing - but posting in public and on youtube actually is the behaviour that invites discussion. I will say again - Eshla should be free to listen or not listen to others advice - but the agism comments and so on, sheesh. Despite acting before thinking - maybe he can take his vid down already if that is all it is. But you are right in one way - this is why I stopped posting publically for a while and likely will vanish again - within a short time of returning here my blood starts to boil redeading some of the antics here - back to the shadows! P.P.P.S. Eshla, pick up Rigg's '10 things a mentalist should never do' DVD - its gold.

I think Eshla made an unfortunate start, but I think that there's a false impression about his recent posts. I'd invite everyone to read his posts for the past 30 days. I think you'll find that they are mostly very respectful and intelligent.
He does give opinions, as do we all -- experienced and otherwise -- but most of the opinions Eshla shares in the last 30 days seem to be with regard to personal preference or about his observations, and makes it clear that the opinions aren't based upon his level of experience. The two posts I see where he's become a bit rude are an obvious retaliation against what he seems to perceive as personal attacks. To conclude, I think he's changed his approach a great deal and is making a huge effort to contribute and participate in this forum in an acceptable way. Base your responses to his posts on what he's doing now, not what he's done before. The sight of people here that I respect climbing all over each other to jump on Eshla's every post and give him a bash or "correct" him is pretty ugly. - entity

Do you think it's wise to get involved in a business that is pretty much all about dealing with the public when your conditions mean you have a problem with interacting with people?
It could be dangerous if you can't tell if someone is joking or not, and you take things to heart to easily. Seems to be inviting trouble down the road ... |

Do you think it's wise to get involved in a business that is pretty much all about dealing with the public when your conditions mean you have a problem with interacting with people? That is not your problem. The only issue here is communication via this forum. I've been wondering why Elsha has been getting such a bad press the last few weeks. Granted I've not been playing particular attention so I've not thought too much of it. Personally I'm prepared to give someone with autism a bit of a break. If anyone doesn't feel willing or able to do that, then they have the choice not to reply. Elsha, unfortuatley you'll come to realise over time that criticism of certaion performers and greators here is taboo. Some of them can do no wrong and if one makes even reasonsed criticism of their performance or products the attack dogs will emerge. Personally I look forward to seeing a bit more free thinking and robust questioning on these pages. It's often valuable to reassess the reasons for one's beliefs and I'm afraid that when I see people getting angry about a question, there is a part of me that wonders if that's a sign of their own insecurity in the position they've taken.

You don't get unbiased opinions on here. There is a lot of *** licking goes on here in amongst the gems. If you are anoying people on here its better than being a part of sycophantic fan clubs that are everywhere. Take whats useful and make up yor own mind. Don't worry about being popular on here either who cares what the greenies think about you. Be yourself man. Anoying people is an incredible skill you have ;-) I agree with you on the SSB I think its bloody awful. Richard has produced some fantastic stuff as weel as some duff products too. Its ok to say whats on your mind. My advice would be to stop making videos and seeking the approval of others especially on here. Its that inner need for approval that's your enemy. Get rid of it. It has nothing to do with your condition either. Be yourself ....drop the videos. |

I bet you have more mentalism knowledge then most on the Café. I am sure you have more then me! It is time for you to PERFORM! Stop reading and go get experience. I bet you have more knowledge then you know what to do with.

he could have sent a pm to LOTH, but HE decided to go public. No, because LotH PM-blocked him. My issue here is that although I agree with much of what is being said, this thread was meant to be for Eshla and Paolo to make peace. This happened. Then Greg decided not to let go. Then everyone jumped on the "Let's tease Eshla" bandwagon again. This thread served its purpose. How 'bout the rest of us just back out of it and do something profitable?

Can I just defend Greg.
Greg Arce has sent me a PM and, while he did still have critism of the way I do things, he suggests we "bury the hatchet" and all that and has even offered to send me his ebooks as a token of peace. :) Tom xx

Once again, the effort is made by Someone else eshla.
you should have been the one sending that pm. and once again you bring public something that should have been private... also, greg does not need defending, nobody is accusing him of anything I just don't get it... |

Lejon,
I agree. Furthermore, I will repeat for the nth time the following - Gregory Arce IS one of the most loyal, generous, contributing and forgiving souls the Cafè has. More Gregs would make the Cafè a better place. Period.
