I have the rope book called: "Abbott's Ecyclopedia of Rope Tricks for Magicians". Is there a better rope magic book? It must have great illustrations.

Hi Jeff
That's funny mine says Abbott's Encyclopedia of Rope Tricks volume 1. Getting back to your original question the best book is the Stewart James Encyclopedia of Rope Tricks. I like the Karl Fulves Self-working Rope Magic book too.

I believe that our good buddy Frank Starsini is from Davis, Californis too.

Don't forget George Sands' Sandsational and Ropesational complete routines--not to mention all his other gems in print (not just ropes).

George came to mind because today I received an e-mail saying his wife, Arlene, passsed on last Saturday. She was wonderful for George.

Just received a copy of the Stewart James Encyclopedia in the edition edited by Gabe Fajuri (2005). What a great book! I will have to look into the George Sands books, as well.

I received a copy of the sands books, and although they are line drawings done bc (before computers), they still work. One day, Allan will dare to redo the booklet with photos.
