A dear friend in Magic passed away recently and our club is going to be selling his props for the wife. There is a vent figure that says "Handcrafted by E. Alexander" and when I google that I get no hits. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Have you contacted Dan Willenger at ventriloquist central?

Many ventriloquists in the past handcrafted their vent figures themselves and labled them as such. Could be a possibility?? I know I have seen figures for sale on Ebay that were created by the sellers (at least that's what the add stated). Dan at Vent Central or Clinton at Maher Studios should know if the maker of your figure is a "known" name.

My very first figure was made by Eric Alexander. He makes figures out of plastic wood and they are pretty cool. If I remember correctly, mine was purchased in 2003...it had winkers, eyes, eyebrows, upper lip sneer, and moving mouth and went for about $1000. These figures are all one of a kind, meaning he direct sculpted the wood dough versus using a mold. All in all, they're rare and pretty cool little dummies.

I have some photos of figures made by Erick Alexander, mostly from ebay, and all have different face.
