After weeks and weeks of working with this unit, I’ve determined that at least some of the problems encountered by users may be attributed to the specific user. I’ve put a great deal of effort, thought and rehearsal into this and, just when I think it’s ready for debut in my act, I find that it’s still not consistent.
My conclusion: In addition to developing a certain knack for the effect (this is not and never claimed to be an out-of-the-box effect), I believe that certain body types or body characteristics may hinder the ability to maintain a reasonable amount of consistency when performing. So, after trying all of the suggestions offered in both open threads on the Café, as well as PMs, and some slight modifications to the main unit, I can say that, if you are having difficulty with this effect, it may simply be your physical makeup and not, necessarily the unit. Sadly, for me at least, that means that I basically own a $275.00 paperweight. |

Can you be more specific, when you speak of body type.

I know from experience that there are peculiarities among many body types. I can only describe myself, and it may not be something that a description might reveal. I tip the scales at 245 and have long, but chubby fingers. My wrists don’t seem unusually thick for my size, but my watch gets a little loose when I drop 10 pounds or so. So, there ya go. But, as I said, it may be something in my physical makeup that isn’t apparent… perhaps the way my joints interact, or the muscles in my wrist or fingers, or the elasticity of my skin. I just know that I can spin the nut off the bolt like a prop-jet one time, then barely get it to move another – using the same hand positioning, grip and pressure. AND… all that while using twice the units original power. |
