A cartoon of two astronomers looking at the night sky. One has just made a profound statement to which the other angrily responds; "Yeah? Well they don't make ME feel insignificant, fella!"
"There's no time to lose," I heard her say.
"Catch your dreams before they slip away."
"Dying all the time, lose your dreams and you could lose your mind.
Ain't life unkind?"

NASA's "astronomy picture of the day" page:

I've found that looking at this page is a good way to start my day.

I'm reading a book, "the big bang". It starts off by saying our universe has about 100 billion galaxies with about 100 billion stars. Different from the trillion mark, right? Who is right, science guys?

Great book btw, from Plato to Albert e and so on... Our universe is incredible.

NASA has a great ap for you iPhone dudes

Do you mean 100 billion stars per galaxy?

Check the copyright date on that book. We're discovering new stuff so fast, some things are outdated pretty quickly.

I suddenly feel incredibly insignificant.

I need to go and do a Show and get some applause now.

I don't know who is right, but the original page says that a galaxy has up to a trillion (10^12) stars; is your book giving an average, or rough estimate of 100 billion (10^11)? It's quite possible that both are correct.
