Some of us having been waiting YEARS for Miracle Factory to make good on money taken for the updated Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic reprint. No updates. No emails to those of us that pre-ordered. Nothing. Todd Karr has taken thousands of dollars and delivered nothing but more solicitations for that and his other products.

Reminds me of one of those old time football games. It had the teams vibrate on a metal sheet. Just looks bad.

The delay prevents more people to actually trust in the magical value of this or buy/put pre-order to them.
Investing $300 is not everyone's capability. Without any strong proof of performance (in front of live audience is one of the examples), many still hesitate to put their order in. They will choose something is far more proven to be a strong effect, such as Ultracinese for example. On the other side, having small numbers of units produced or few buyers is a good thing. It means not everyone will have this so if you have one or buy one, you don't have to worry that the other magician in your area would perform it as well. Rarity is also the key for this. I'd love to buy Little Man, but it's unaffordable for me and it glides, not actually moving its feet one at a time. Just my 2 cents.
Magic comes through perception. -HS

I'm not saying but I'm just saying.... Seems like a plausible explanation to me.

Umm absolutely. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY that watches Little Man is going to think "Holy moly! Did you see that? The magic guy must be a WIZARD! He made Play Doh walk!" Unfortunately they're going to think. "This bonehead has a magnet hidden in the playdoh man somewhere" because that's EXACTLY what it looks like. Even if it's not the case, it's EXACTLY what it looks like. And we all know that once an audience member thinks they know how it's done, there is no changing that perception.

Sadly, in this case you can't - for all audiences anyway. I've worked at length with some play dough over the last year and believe I have a routine that will work well - for children. That said, I'm not yet sure if I'll get this or not as I don't perform for kids and don't believe this would play as well for teens or adults.

I would have to agree that this might be something for the kiddies. They would not care how you did it. They would just marvel at it being done. The adult entertainer could easily find a myriad of reasons for this not to make its way into his or her show. That being said, I am finding it extremely hard to justify the $300-$400 price tag. That's just me though!

This is a perfect example of the cons of pre-ordering. I would not be happy if someone held onto my money for this long with nothing more than a pipe dream and promises. Sad.

If I recall, seems many of those who pre-ordered were defending that whole idea and telling the rest of us how confident they were that LM was just around the corner...

I got my Little Man this morning and it is a wonderful thing. Very well thought through with some clever desgin subtleties. This is one trick that really is open up to many possible routines and presentations and I am looking forward to playing with it more and seeing what this Little Man has to offer. A mechanical marvel indeed!
