Someone posted Billscape on ebay today.
Bidding starts at $100. OK, I know that posting that info among a bunch of major Tenyo collectors is probably a bad idea. But I'm newer than most of you, and still learning prices. I guess the real question is, how rare is Billscape? |

In fact to be rather rare, what makes that billscape is above all looked for it is his quality as magic trick. This trick is simply a big success in its effect and its impact on public.
It is one of rare effects from tenyo which is determinedly directed to the magicians. And it in the design, its idea, and its quality of manufacturing. There is much rarer tenyo and nevertheless less expensiv than that this. But the advantage of billscape it is because it concentrates and the rarity and the efficiency. I have buy one here on magic café forum for 150$, whit euros convertion it was a fair price but it is all the same a lot of money, especially for a young person as me (1/4 of my salary for the mouth !! ). I was ready to put this price because in 8 months I had seen no one on ebays then I made this sacrifice and I do not regret it. To finish if you are not a collector of Tenyo you will find surement many tricks so interesting to see more for less expensive. I also think that this trick will leave for immediate purchase before the end of the bids. |

I want to add however ebay is the place or the prices sound the most expensive, each hopes to fall on the providential rich man who will pay the full price, me the first one. It is the typical example of what the economy of market makes of worse or each tries to make a maximum of profit taking advantage of highly-rated anonymous and depersonalized of this tools. I hate making that but it is for me the only means to be able to gain a little money to complete my collection. In quoted of it me catch by offering a quality service, a packaging present, little Pleasant word , and sometimes by adding small presents, but in fact this way of functioning does not really satisfy me and deprives me of highly-rated human of the exchanges which I like so much. That's life...

I would have been a fool not to try to get 3 figures for it! I never use it anymore, so I figured, "What the heck?!" AS soon as mine went up, this thread came about. I didn't want to comment in this thread while it was on eBay, because I didn't want to violate the Café's rules regarding advertising anything on auction sites. But now that the auction is over, I can comment. I really found it difficult to believe someone would pay that much for one, but like I said, I figured I'd at least try. It did not sell. I may offer it up for sale here at the Café for a lower price.

You did not sell it because you did not make a world bid, it is one big error and you should put back your Billspace to the same price but by allowing this time the whole world to see it and not only the United States.
The only time or I saw one on ebay, at the beginning or I began to be interested in tenyo he(it) left to 160 euros... Try once again. |

A Café Member has already contacted me about the Billscape and purchased it. Stereo, you were correct, someone from outside the United States bought it.

Just bought this for $25.00, in slightly used condition with all the original packaging. I believe a few overzealous collectors with more $$$ than common sense have driven up the overall costs for older Tenyo items far beyond their real value.
Happy to have found this at a fair price in such a hyped up market! |

It's just the system of supply and demand sets the prices.

Hey 723, where did you find it for $25?

A local magic shop that got in quite a bit of used items- old MAK, UF Grant, card tricks, etc etc, and a couple of Tenyo items. This was one of them, and it was all there, packaging, instructions, all of the components. It looked dirty but I could tell it was all there, and nothing was damaged or worn. Once I got it home it cleaned up very nicely, practically like new frankly. I was very happy to get this and consider myself pretty lucky!
