I just received this effect today and am very impressed! Clearly some thought and real world experience went into this design. The instruction is clear and straight forward. I have color changing knives and paddles but with these the change is truly effortless. The coloration of the flash drives makes angle issues a non-issue. Best item I have received in a long time. Highly recommended!

That generally gets a laugh and then I turn my body away. Not in a rude way but I switch my attention to another direction. This, ironically is also a sample of the "freeze out" technique Mystery does and Neil Strauss published in his book "The Game". I think a LOT of magicians should read that book HAHA. |

Then leave the change alone and create a better move or just perform the routine without the change.
Or ask them a question and while they look at you to answer do the change. They look down, butta Bing butta boom the black drive is red. It's called slieght of hand, distract their mind, it's what we do. |

Hi all
Just a thought here? I do this a lot in walkaround and maybe 1 in 5 ask to see the red drive so......... instead of switching it for the full RED drive you can get from chad I tried starting with both un gimmicked drives at the start..... casually showing both sides of both SLOWLY and with out pointing anything out, then shuttle pass to your other hand which has the gimmicked drive and as you lean forward with both drives in position for the first move you casually put the ungimmicked RED drive in your pocket..... .....now you shown both sides of both drives at the start so when they backtrack at the end there is no need to think of a double coolour drive.... ....so far using this handling I haven;t had a single person ask to see the drives?? What do you guys think?
May your darkness come quickly

I purchased the red drive with Flash but to be honest I have never used it. I very rarely hand out any props for examination; I just go into my next routine. There are a few effects or routines that basically include handing the spectator something as part of the routine - but which also allows examination by virtue of allowing them to hold it. Like the key in "Ignition". But I don’t hand out anything at spectators' requests.
I have found that once specs see that you will hand out your props then someone asks to handle whatever you are using after every routine. It completely throws off the timing you've built into your act while fostering the concept of a "challenge game" to your spectators. Sure, I understand that my spectators know that I am doing "something tricky" and/or using gimmicked props. Let's face it - they either know that or they believe you are performing real magic! And I don’t think any of them believe the latter. But I want to amuse and entertain, and not get into a "see if you can figure out how I did that" game. Plus I have noticed that a lot of members here only ask about handing items out for examination when using gaffed/gimmicked props. No one seems to be concerned about spectator examination if they are performing some sleight of hand that doesn’t use any gimmicked props; only when it is gimmicked! I think Mike Eaton's advice a few posts above this one is golden: The Freeze Out. Say something to get a laugh and then turn slightly away from the requesting spectator and move on to the next routine - with a knowing smile on your face! Thanks! Jim |

Do you guys think it's possible for someone to manufacture expanded shells for the flash drives? or if that would even work well in a routine?
might be kinda cool to be able to combine traditional coin plots with the paddle move |

This is one of my favorite close up tricks that I perform. It is very visual and gets great reactions. I also perform Chad's card effect Now Look Here. I have absolutely loved everything he has released.

This effect was one of the best Magic Fridays I've had in a long time. SO much fun! And I'm super happy with my presentation! You can watch it here, if you like...

I finally received mine the other day, and I'm really impressed with the props. Can't wait to start working on a routine!
