There are a number of routines through the course. Actually, the Tarbell course is almost indispensable for magicians. Volumes 1, 6 and 7 have the actual routines.

Or does a single-volume book like Ammar’s suffice? I must have no less than 40 books/routines devoted to the Cups…it would be so helpful is these were integrated, edited, indexed, a la “Card College" or the Tarbell course. Your thoughts, Sir?

Bill, I would agree that Tarbell is almost indispensable, which is why they, along with about fifty other classic, must have books are on my eventual buying list. I also noticed that with about $300 on amazon, I could get most of my cups and balls library up to snuff (all the Eddie Joseph books, Tommy Wonder's routine, Dai Vernon on cups and balls, etc). . . If I only didn't have to pay rent and feed myself, I'd be doing good.

Some may disagree with me on this, but the Eddie Joseph books are not really "top of the list" books. There are a number of curiosities in it, but the people I know who actually saw Eddie perform would tell you that he was not a performer.

Another, possibly cheaper, way of gaining instant access to a wide variety of C+B routines and related literature from ages past to the present would be to take out membership in the Conjuring Arts Research Center. They have a much improved "Ask Alexander" search engine which opens up into a vast treasury of material. The annual subscription is not exactly cheap and it won't buy you copies of the latest routines out there but it's still a tremendous resource with tons of info at your fingertips.

Fortasse, Your right about Ask Alexander, Sadly, I can't really afford it right now. Especially to get top tier, which is what I would prefer, so that I would have the most access to materials.
