Does anybody know the limits of weight of the object and other limitations the ultracinese has? Does it have to be a metal or shimmed object?

This is a difficult question to answer as it asks how well the UC principle can go with objects other than those originally recommended.
I can say this -- it will never be a stagepiece -- and, to to me, takes a lot of practice and fiddlng to get t work properly -- BUT when you get it, it is an amazement maker when well applied. So, let us just say thet the balance of weights used and coefficient of friction may be just as important as weight. Further answers should probably be discussed in the closed sessons below that are now open to you as new user withg enough posts.

You can't make a car move, except perhaps a FIAT ?
You can't space travel with the UC. But you can by it and see by yourself the possibilities

In my opinion is rather bad, as the gimmick is incredibly complicated and takes ages to get up. Deffinetly not a walk around thing or even a stage thing... its perfect for a TV appearance though.

While I can agree that the effect is "complicated" in attaining the knack necessary for performing it consistently, the idea that it is "definitely not a walk around" effect is either disingenuous or misinformed. I use the effect in my restaurant work regularly. With regard to set-up, as with any effect using props and gimmicks, adaptation is the key. I practically rebuilt my UC system and, now it sets-up and works with a minimal amount of effort. |

I too use this in my restaurant work a lot. It is a very dramatic effect. It is a pain to set up and someday when I have the time I will change the set up to make it easier but for now it is well worth the time to set up and do.
