I found the following website after some digging around:

The link works better without the period after "html".

Thanks, Skip -- old habits (like putting a period at the end of a sentence) die hard! SETH

I am the owner of the original Pocketoyz and am currently in the middle of a lawsuit against the other Pockettoyz for infringement.I pitched the worms for 10 years before going to retail with my products 2 years ago.I don't forget my roots, and recently learned of Magic Fuzzle closing. As a favor to you guys,im willing to wholesale the worms(pre-tied,same factory as Squirmles)for .85 cents pc with free shipping out of Ohio from here on out.144pc per case with 6 colors.I also have the Flying Card's for 1.25pc.Spread the word. Also if you need any tips etc for pitching the worm, just let me know and I'll be happy to help.Just shoot me an email at mark@pocketoyz.com and I'll get you going. At this time I accept money orders or paypal but will accept cc soon.I hope this helps all the worm pitchmen out! I just got an e-mail from the guy who sells 200 Slideyz for $90 including shipping. His original e-mail said he'd be happy to send me a sample for a little over $17--that's .01 for 2 worms, $17 for shipping! HOLD ME BACK!!

I wrote, saying I felt it was slightly high. Now he is saying .32 for 1 worm plus $4.82 shipping. Maybe his motto should be "Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chances!" Smile

What happened to the good old days where you just e-mailed the wholesaler here in the U.S., and they sent the stuff to you?

Globalization is great, but not for an individual pitchman! SETH

Finally heard from Carl, in the form of a cease and disist order. He doesn't want to return calls to place re-orders and I go another route by buying a companys stock packaging. Need product! Now he gets in touch with me. Telling me I stole his design. I mearly purchased them from a company to resell. If I wanted I could have had them packed like Carls squirmle packaging, but thought that was wrong. Instead opted not to and purchase diff. package. .Thus being said I think this is a bunch of @%^&@#^&*%$!!!!!!!!! If he only returned 1 of my 8 calls or emails over the last 2 months I would still Be selling his worms. What a guy he turned out to be.Once again someone gets to big and forgets about the little people!!

Has anyone ordered from Mark Hamilton, in response to his posting above? If so, any comments on service and product?

Thanks,

I've done business with Mark and have had mixed results.

With any new vendor you work with I recommend ordering well in advance of when you need the product to make sure that your receive it and that the service and product is of a quality you expect.

Would anyone be willing to post reviews of recent purchases from these various distributors? After reading all the posts, it is unclear as to what people are currently recommending.

Thanks,

Bruce

Bruce, to answer your question, I have dealt with Angela at PocketToyz in Florida, and was very satisfied with both the product and the service. The worms are of good quality, have plenty of "fluff," and are very colorful. The packaging is excellent (compact blister pack with bright graphics); I can fit 75 worms in a 21" Stanley plastic toolbox. The worms are pre-tied, use a very thin, clear gimmick and have the little plastic googly eyes. They are the same price as the old Magic Fuzzles, but in my opinion are actually of higher quality.

When I ordered a gross of worms on a Monday, I had them in hand the following Thursday via UPS. Angela takes PayPal and you can pay online by credit card, which insures a secure transaction and avoids the hazards and delays of paying by check or money order. I would order from her again, and may need to do so shortly. Click HERE for more info.

I just went through two cases of the PocketToyz worms at a recent two-day Xmas Bazaar, and got lots of favorable comments from parents and kids about them. Some of the vendors' kids bought them early on and were running around the place with the worms crawling all over their hands. Once other kids saw them, there was a stampede for my joint!

The only downside for this worm (and most of the other worms as well) is the instructions, which are frankly borderline satisfactory. In my experience, you should really make up your own instruction sheet. This not only reassures prospective buyers when you wave it around, it also helps to prevent walkbacks from folks who say they can't figure out how the worm works (and didn't read the instructions!).

When somebody buys a worm, I always make a big deal about saying "And here are the 'Secret Magic Instructions' that tells you exactly how the Magic Worm works and teaches you how to do all the great tricks you just saw." Then I fold the sheet into quarters and staple it to the worm package. This insures that the instructions don't get lost, and it also helps to keep the kids from opening the package right in front of the joint and exposing the secret to the rest of the tip. SETH

Although it's now academic with the demise of Magic Fuzzles, I thought they were superior to Squirmles in one important respect -- they looked and handled better. They were softer and more flexible, and really wrapped around your hand and fingers. The Squirmles are a little too stiff for my taste, and don't follow the curve of your hands as well. As a result, they often look like they are being dragged around by something (which of course they are, but it's not supposed to be evident!)

The Squirmles have neater wiggly eyes, a darker gimmick, very good packaging, and came pretied. But they didn't demo as well as the Fuzzles, so I stuck with the Fuzzles after selling plenty of both kinds. SETH
Ahhh ... Sethb , have you tried stringing a Fuzzle with IT for your worker, and selling Squirmles or what ever you can buy the easiest.

Ringmaster -- I did demo the Fuzzle and sell the Squirmle, but only until my Squirmle stock was gone. I prefer to sell what I demo if at all possible.

Now I demo and sell the PocketToyz worms, I like them the best of what's available at the moment. SETH
