Thinking about purchasing Mark Wade's Ventriloquism DVD's.

Does anyone have these? Are they any good? Trying to become a better ventriloquist and wanting to know if there is a really good DVD out to explain how to do the tough sounds "D" "B" etc...

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Bart

Hi Bart...

It's Mark Wade here! Just wanted to give you some insights into my dvd's and some others. First, my dvd "Successful Ventriloquism" was commissioned t by Maher Studios for me to do and I do cover the difficult letters. However, I was requested to give a broad overview of the Maher Course, so I couldn't devote tons of time on just that point. I cover a lot of ground in a 50 minute dvd and it's been a best seller for me and for Maher Studios. I followed up with two more dvd's.."Advanced Ventriloquism", teaching the baby cry, distant voice, and some other vent novelties..and "The Art of The Kidshow", in which I cover my favorite subject, working with kids.

Two good friends of mine also have some great dvd's available...Lee Cornell has his "Ventriloquism 101" and Pete Michaels has his dvd's available on beginning vent. I'd recommend both of them, along with mine. Hope I didn't sound like I was "tooting my own horn", but I personally think you'll learn a lot from all of them.

Hope this helps!

Paul Winchell's DVD is very instructive and inspiring as well. He also goes over the tough sounds at the start of his DVD.

The mentioned instructional DVDs are all SUPERB!! I also recommend Steve Taylor's "Voicing Your Dummy" AND his other 2 VHS/DVDs "Humoring Your Dummy" and "Manipulating Your Dummy". ALL of these great vents are excellent teachers of the art!! IMHO!
