Hi all,
I am thinking of designing a vertical banner for our shows. It would be the vertical banner system that rolls back down into its own case for easy travel. If anyone has one or has gone through the process, let me know. As many of you know, I am a designer, so I am looking more into the specifics also in regards to setting up the photoshop file etc. Any ideas and help would be appreciated as well as places that do the best job for the best price. Thanks. Kyle

Kyle,
There are many different systems, some hand roll up, and then there are some that are srping loaded blinds that retract into the base/holder. They are usually about 28-36" wide and 6'tall. I think they make a great display or promotional tool. B

I saw a video of Kevin James performing somewhere, if I remember correctly I think he was on an actual "proper" stage. He did have two vertical banners "flanking" the stage with his name and logo/face on them. I remember when I saw them, I really liked the idea and look of it.
Let us know how it turns out Kyle! sb |

A lot of companies I work for use them in their trade show displays. I asked one time where they had it made and it seemed like they said either Kinkos or Staples. After that I looked at it a little closer. It seemed to be very well made (stand and banner). I remember that you had to roll it up when you took it down.

Thanks all. I have a few ideas and got a name of an online comapny that should work well and has good prices. I just need to figure out how I want to design it. I could go photographic or more of a vector based art (adobe illustrator). I am leaning more towards photographic. Will have to play around with it.
I want to use it to brand us at events and to get the name recognition as well as our website out there. Kyle

Hi,
I have designed several of these large banners. Have found illustrator to be the best way to go with vector graphics. I have used photographs on a couple but they need to be hi res. Ade |

Kyle, Most want 300 dpi or 360 but can print at 72 if you don't have small print. The bleed is different if you want the edge rolled and stitched.
Most of these banners work well indoors but wind outside is asking for trouble. In that case I hang different banners that have #6 grommets. I have several different banners for different functions but after using them for 3 years I don't usually bother anymore. It's one more thing to carry around... but YOU, yes you, could strap the entire thing to your chair suspension and carry it all, in one load. Here's one, The bleed allows for grommets so I can hang it, Photoshop was the program but most can take any format including Jpg Gig Tiff Corel EPS and all the other usual suspects Click here to view attached image.
