I'm looking for soft, adjustable chop balls. I like to load the balls, rather than use a conventional handling, so it has to load without talking. The gaff has to be adjustable. Any suggestions?

Morrisey chopped balls should work for you. They are nice and soft, but aren't intended to be adjustable (but they are). All you need is a walnut pick (6 inch long tool with a smooth curved tip, for digging walnut meats out of the shells) or an ice pick with the sharp end filed off, and a pair of dykes. Push, push, snip, snip, and you're almost done. Do the finally adjusting after snipping and you are finished. This only works once, so set them for the cup you want.
The 4agnet runs the entire diameter of the ball, so, you need to push it through a bit and snip some off. Repeat until you have the pole you need at the place were it does the most good. (PM me if you need help) I guess you could do it twice or more, but you'd have to inject a bit of glue in the 4agnet'$ channel to keep it in place. I modified one that I hated for years and now it's a darn good ball. Tip of the Top Hat to Donnie at RNT II for giving me the inspiration to try this (indirectly). dsalley13 |

Another thing that make make it difficult to find the right ball is the fact that it needs to be 1 1/2" (about 37mm) in diameter. I have a set of RNT2 chop balls, but they create a loud "clunk", when used with an Ickle Pickle Widemouth. More in Secret Sessions...

I just made up a couple of the balls and I was surprised how easy it was to make. More on this in Secret Sessions...
