Stopped by my local magic shop earlier today and to my surprise it had a copy sitting behind the counter. I am in the process of looking it over right now.

It is a good one. Has presentation ideas that will please both a magician and a mentalist. I rather like the mentalism approach with this. An audience names three of the queens and those three are the only ones the mentalist is in possession of.

I Really like this one. Been playing with it in the shop for the last few days. Nice, super simple, direct effect. Add your own persona, and you have a little gem!

Is it better than B'WAVE? Is it another variation? If it is better, what makes it better?

Mine arrived. Forst off, the cover with Alice...where did they get this beautiful girl from? hmmm.
Anyway...the cards included are wonderful. I've not seen this particular arrangement before. The instructions are VERY deatiled with lotsa clear b&w photos.. Being dyslexic, it will take me awhile to go through it and learn the effect, but I'm thrilled to have this now. When I get time, I'll do a review, but I'd say based on what I received and the plot, just buy it.

I love this trick! The cover art inspires a darker side to the Alice in Wonderland story...maybe a storyboard for a bit of bizarre magic. The packaging and instructions are excellent and very clear. With multiple ideas on how to present this trick. It gives you options for the beginner without any slights or several options which require some practice. The only problem is the trick doesn't offer you a story for your patter so I can up with a presentation which I'm open to share with all of you. I think it brings out the darker side of Alice.
In this presentation I use token pieces to represent the four Queens. This can be chess pieces with a diamond, heart, club, and spade painted on them or maybe rings or coins with the symbols of the Queens. I found some excellent rings on Ebay that work for me. I also use a cloth bag to hold the tokens. All of which is NOT included with the trick but add some good prop ideas. Ok here's my story: Alice’s Revenge Story by Mike Ianneo (To be used with Alice’s Revenge 2010 by Bob Farmer) Let me tell you a story that takes place in London in 1873, eight years after Alice escapes Wonderland. “Alice...Alice…wake up Alice!” said the eerie yet familiar voice by the dresser. “It’s me. The Cheshire Cat. When Alice looked towards the voice she saw a set of large grimacing yellow teeth appear floating in a puff of smoke by the mirror. “The Cheshire Cat? The doctors told me you’re a figment of my childhood imagination. You can’t be real!” said Alice. “Oh I assure you I’m quite real. In fact, it’s your belief in me that makes me real. We desperately need your help. Wonderland is in great danger and has been taken over by the four evil Queens.” said the Cat. <The magician displays the four Queens using the Bammo Packetron Display.> “The Queen of Clubs, The Queen of Hearts, The Queen of Spades and the Queen of Diamonds.” “Even if I were to believe you…what could I possibly do?” questioned Alice. The Cheshire Cat materialized in full form on the dresser and gave Alice a daunting smile. “You have the magic, Alice...You’re the only one that can save us!” exclaimed the Cat. “Last night, the Mad Hatter captured the four Queens and placed them in a temporary holding cell.” <The magician places the four Queens in the playing card box.> “The four Queens together have formed a magical bond creating an impenetrable balance of evil. In the pouch in front of you are four symbols representing each of the evil Queens. Pick up one of the Queen’s tokens and hold it in your hand. Clear your mind and imagine the Queen’s symbol you’re holding to erase from existence. All memories of that Queen will be forgotten and it will be as if she has never existed. The balance of evil will be broken and once again Wonderland will be free.” <The magician asks the spectator to freely choose one of the Queens symbols and the playing card box is opened to reveal the chosen Queen has turned blank on both sides. The remaining Queens are unharmed.> “No Queen is safe!” Now go out and buy this trick! It's only $15 and plays well! Enjoy, Mike Ianneo Funnybone the Clown

Unclear if "AR" can be repeated for the same spectators ("instant reset" doesn't necessarily mean that it can repeated for the same spectator(s)...but at the same time - why would I want to immediately repeat the effect?).
Frankly, I am very happy doing the old "King's Choice" trick: Name ANY King, and THAT is the ONLY face-up King of the 4 cards...AND it has the only odd-color back of the 4 cards..a DOUBLE-CLIMAX! (only 4 cards, no R&S, No force or "outs", no sleights). Unsure if "AR" can better that. Will need to see a demo. |

Since I own the trick and perform it. I think I can answer your question. Instant reset means once you perform the trick the cards are in the same position you started with and is ready to perform again for a different spectator.
I would not recommend to perform the exact same trick for the same spectator. Isn't that rule number 2 in the basic rules of magic?

This is excellent and very clever. The cards do all the work! I've aged my cards with coffee etc and I've put a dark message on the blank card which I give out at the end, if you do this then you will need to buy a double blank deck, but you don't have to do this.
You won't be disappointed with this! Gary Jones.

The video demo at least will show you the basic trick but it's a better trick with some kind of presentation. And yes, no magicians force. They can freely pick any queen. It's truly a great trick.
