Mine just arrived. Not having read the magazine when published, I got my first taste of Steve Beam from the introduction.
This is going to be an enjoyable treat. Bring on the other two volumes! |

FYI, Volume II is at the printers now and there is a pre-publication price through September 30, 2011. Volume III is scheduled for release very early in 2012.

Judah, just the threat of revisiting the prod was enough. Thanks for the motivation.

Volume 2 arrived from the printers on Thursday. All pre-publication orders that haven't been shipped already will go out by the end of the week. At 576 pages, it's a little bigger than the first volume so Dawn the Wonder Wife can't carry as many at a time.

My copy of Volume 2 arrived yesterday. It's just an well-produced as Volume 1, but now includes the fascinating transitional issue that marks when Steve discovered software-based layout. I'm really glad he's decided to collect these issues with the care they deserve. Seriously, if you enjoy The Jinx, The Phoenix, and so on you'll dig these, too.
