Just a heads up. The new free effect is live and online at full52.com! It's called 'The Mind Reading Joker' and is a very cool visual routine with real commercial appeal.
Effect: A thought bubble that you've drawn on a Joker visually populates with the name of a selected card! Then the Joker goes on to find the selected card in a very surprising way! Check it out at the website, it's 100%, no strings attached FREE!! All the best, Dave.

I tried the full 52 production website and it indicates that it's been suspended. Also, the description of the routine sounds just like Simon Lovell's effect called Tribute to Erminrude. That routine has the Joker thought bubble and has the Joker finding the selection in the form of the joker holding the card in his hand while riding the bicycle.

Not the same trick. But Dave's is very good! The kind of thing you'll start doing right away.

The website is back up - a 'technical problem' they said...!
Gregory57 - I never realised Simon Lovell had a similar effect in print. I know that David Acer (and possibly Jay Sankey too?) have effects out there that use a thought bubble drawn on a dollar bill - like the president (or whoever) is thinking about something... 'The Mind Reading Joker' is actually based on a similar effect of my own called The Wee Wee Mentalist which was inspired by the Acer routine mentioned above. It used a gaffed card...I think the new version is better - same impact without the gaff! All the best. Dave.

Haven't been able to check this out yet, being at work and what not.
But looks like it would routine really nicely with Simon Aronson's 'Prior Commitment' from Try the Impossible. JH

If you want to compare my routine (from a gazzilion years ago!) it's actually called Ermintrude the Mind Reading Joker and was released by Kaymar Magic in the late 80's as a dealer item and later put into my book Simon Says (L&L Publishing) in the Gaffed and Faked section.
Best to all, Simon |

It's great. Dave, I'll also have to check out your effect now that the website if back up. Thanks, Gregory57
