Of all the people left on AGT, Murray is the only one I'd be interested in seeing in Vegas.

I liked very much Murray's tiger production on America's Got Talent, it is deceptive.

Murray has really showed his versatility...he's dynmaic with his CD act, and I feel equally spectacular with doing illusions. I was wondering how he could he top the car production, and boy did he.

Comments such as those from Tmoca intrigue me. I am guessing that he needs to somehow see all the blood sweat and tears that go into presenting illusions well.
I had not heard of Murray before, and thought he looked a bit like an eccentric. I also don't particularly care for the way his illusion is constructed– there are certainly better models out there. But I watched his performance and found him to be extremely likable, personable and yes, very entertaining. I really don't know what else anyone is looking for! I imagine he doesn't care a lick about impressing magicians. In my experience, magicians who try to impress magicians tend to be extraordinarily arrogant, off-putting and generally unpleasant to be around! The assertion that a 14-year-old dancer could be yanked out of a dance studio and be taught the mechanics and perform it better only illustrates the ignorance of the subtleties and genuine skills necessary to entertain an audience with large-scale effects. (By way of minor example, few dancers I know have any kind of sense of dramatic timing. They have great rhythm with music, but generally don't possess the skills necessary to tell a good story to an audience.) I love the fact that Murray was able to quickly make me dismiss my petty pre-judgments from what I'd seen on the TV teasers and prove himself a genuine entertainer in the best sense of the word. Win or lose this competition, he certainly deserves the many accolades that I'm sure will follow. |

I've always liked watching Murray. He puts his personality in the forefront which I like a lot.
Greg Frewin has a prop which is almost exactly the same. Good performance! *clap, clap, clap*

This was really awesome !
He put everything he has in this 90 secondes. He has stage presents, a quick and very entertaining effect with a nice and short plot and it's just fun to watch. Great work. Hope he'll get it through the finale. Oliver. |

I thought Murray did a great job.
William Scott Anderson said it best, Murray is playing their game. If he did do his CD act, everyone on the boards would love it. But he would get booted, would never have made it this far. He is presenting what he needs to, to make it on the show. As far as his tiger production, didn't he say he never performed it? It probably isn't even his prop! He is doing what needs to be done, and doing it well. scott |

I remember years ago in competition at the IBM that Murray was there during the beginning and told us that competition is important not for winning the trophy (which is always kewl but laypeople really don't have a clue like we do) but you compete with a good act to get seen by scouts that tend to go to these things. If nothing else you play the game and Murray is doing just that with AGT. He did a great job! I have an idea of how he did hit but regardless it was a great job! Impressed that it was done in the 90 second time span!

I thought Murray killed it! It really is awesome to see a magician doing so well on that show. Although, I would have loved to see Scott still on the show, ain't that right playa?

IMO, there is zero talent in what Murray or any of the "box magicians" have done. Zero! You can replace him and any of the others with anyone with a little bit of stage presence. |

Illusionist verses Magician, verses Mentalists. WOWA can’t we all just get along he he.
As others have already stated and I agree, I feel Murray has to do the big illusions to make it through. It is sad that AGT would not accept his CD routine that is superb and shows his dexterity with manipulation. But Murray knew they would have X him right out if he did anything like that, past shows have taught magicians plenty and what a shame too. I was ashamed to see a great comedian like Chip run out of material. If he was a true comedy magician he would have lasted a bit longer there was so much he could have done to stay in the game instead of creating a train wreck like he did. Tmoca I get it you don’t like stage illusions and there are some like you who feel the same way, I have heard the same comments being made by seasoned pros in my time. Not saying you’re not one I am just saying I too have heard the big box theory. I don’t agree for many reasons but you are entitled to your own thoughts on it. However I think what everyone is saying is that you are being a bit harsh to Murray who is performing a 90 sec act on live TV without a lot of options as to what he can perform without losing his chance to win the show. If Murray indeed wins and creates a 1 hour show for Vegas, I doubt it would be 100% big illusions. But this is a competition and one must do what they need to do in order to win. Murray is a multi talented magician who can do a full range of many different types of magic. What we are seeing is a professional entertainer in every since of the word. I would love to go to Vegas just to see his show. As I stated in my earlier post, he connects quickly and is very likable that takes a heck of a lot more than skill. -Floyd

The problem is not different opinions, the problem (sometimes) lies in the way things are being said.

TMOCA, your first post wasn't opinions it was insults. I for one am a loyal friend, and if someone attacks one of my friends I will gladly stand up for them. Just like many on here stood up for me in the past. You claim to be a professional, yet your comments are much more juvenile and professional. Then of course you blame everyone else and call us all sheep for not "getting" your opinions. You don't post any information about you or your performances for fear of magicians attacking you, yet you will do it to others. I do agree with you on one thing...commenting is a waste of your time, as well as ours. I applaud your exit.

Really, I mean...really??? A wacko magician has hunted you down? I find that just a bit hard to believe but whatever. If a wacko magician were to ever hunt me down, I would imagine it to be someone very much like yourself to be honest. |

I have no desire to have some wacko magician on the Internet or the magic Café hunting me down because he disagrees with my opinions. It's happened before, I don't need it again. I bet anything that this guy is someone who previously got banned from the Café, and has returned with a different e-mail, and an anonymous user name. No one has issues with your opinions, just your attitude. Thank you for leaving, the Café is a better place without users like yourself. On with the chlorophyll... |

Murry has been on WGM and now AGT and in Vegas and traveled the globe doing magic but I believe the prize of 1m plus, a contract on the strip would mean he finally made it big. Good Luck, Murry
