Hello everyone,

I am getting a Crystal Casket built, but not by an illusion maker. This friend of mine is a professional at aluminium welding and is happy to take on the job for me. I have been a magician for 5-6 years but this will be my first stage illusion, and I've never had the opportunity to examine a crystal casket up close before. I know the importance of building it as deceptive as possible, and this is not an issue, we have examined a lot of pictures of different models.

I have measured up the assistant and all the plans are made, except for one thing. The transition for my assistant from the deceptive base to the casket. I am unsure of the best way to address the mechanics for this. I need to make the correct sized compartment without fault, first time! And I need ideas on the cleanest way to execute a comfortable transition - finishing clean so there is nothing obvious showing afterwards. Can anybody who works with these types of illusions please message me privately so we can discuss it there.

Thanks very much,

Scott

There are several books and plan sets out there that detail Casket construction. Please, start with those...
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...
