Im curious about these two products. You have Losanders Second To know Quality and precision with Bill Abbotts creative mind on effects. Im thinking for both Parlor and close-up, only reason why I'm leaning towards Bill is becuase he also provides beside the original Thing, a Smaller version for the Walk around magician. And reviews of these two pros and cons of each?

Own em both and like them both. Haunted box is a card box and a card trick. The box is rather delicate and I only perform this at home in a parlor setting. It is elegant.
"The Thing" is a pure floating masterpiece and can be performed very closeup and surrounded. It is also quite durable and travels easily. I use it heaps and is a real audience pleaser. |

I have the Thing. If you like Zombie, then this is basically an invisible ZOmbie and is a cool effect.
The "walk around" aspect AIUI is pretty much just handling. yes he gives you a smaller box. but you could do this illusion with any box, or none at all. The original Thing is perfectly fine for walk around/surround as is.
It is always darkest just before you are eaten by a grue.

That is, you can perform it in the worst conditions, but get equal results in elegant surroundings. The Haunted Box is a masterpiece. I love it. But, it is delicate...it has to be. It simply wouldn't perform the same if it were heavier and more durable. It is meant to be a special object presented in a special way, in special surroundings. It's not an egg shell. But it's delicate enough that you want to give it the respect it deserves.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

I use to have the THing when it first released. I bought it in Iceland, but when I moved to the States, the moving company lost the entire thing... Bummed I was. Now I'm not sure if I should get that again or opt for the haunted box premium..
