I recently attended Justin Miller's first stop on his 2010 Endure Lecture Tour in Tampa, Florida at the awesome Magic Emporium. You may remember Justin Miller from his DVDs Strolling Hands, X-Marks the Spot, etc. He's also a big player at ellusionist.com. I couldn't forget his name because his "Silver Dream" coin routine is one of my favorites and probably one of the most underrated 3 coin vanish routines I've seen.
If he books a lecture in your area - This is definitely one you can't miss. His teaching style is very interactive and he took the time to answer each and every question we had regarding the sleights and methods used in the effects he taught. As far as the effects go - Top shelf. Every trick he showed us could easily be marketed on it's own. Very powerful and practical material. He taught us some new spins on old classics (most notably the best sandwiched card effect I've ever seen "Edge"), a couple of amazing non-card trick effects, and some astonishing new card sleights. Not to mention a very creative comedic card effect where the drawn picture of a snowman literally melts in the spectators hands! There is a goldmine of material in this lecture. 11 new routines, new gimmicks, new principals and even an essay. It's available at his website http://www.justinmillermagic.com. I know some may complain that you have to register to access his website but I've been registered for awhile and haven't received any junk mail at all. Jake Murphree |
