Both are wonderful collections Fortasse. Really enjoy the way you display some of your vintage sets with books, spectacles, etc.

Thanks for sharing!

Your Poker Pot is missing the large climax die, this was a Ken Brooke item.

The Tony Van Rhee chink-a-chink was sold by Tannens in the plastic box, and Ken Brooke sold the sets as well back then. I really like this set to perform the effect with. That was the 1st time I noted that Tony used the Diamond layout instead of the square pattern.

Very nice cups, indeed! The German traditional cups were made by Birelli.

Fantastic photos and collection… after I looked over (drooled over) the album, I then had to look at Todd’s “Your Cup Collection” post again and the next thing I know… an hour has gone by.

I also have a set of Birelli Cups and have discovered that they work pretty similar to Pete’s Johnny Paul Cups.

Thanks for posting the photos!!!!

I wish I could post a photo of the Paul Fox Cups & Balls, I just received. It is an anonymous gift from a fellow magician, and cup and ball performer here in the Café. The act of giving is rare these days, and while I'm extremely happy with these cups, I also wanted to say thanks, and share my good fortune with fellow members here.

I have now received many gifts from unnamed members, and wish to thank each and every one of you. I never asked for these, and was greatly humbled that someone would think enough of me, to help replace my lost magic. I am no longer depressed at my loss, since what I have received has most likely surpassed the actual value of those four lost trunks-full.

I have never accepted charity, and was embarrassed, but humbled that these gifters insisted. The gentleman that sent me the Paul Fox Cups & Balls, no longer performs with them, and said they would be better off with someone who did. I am playing around with different routines, Dai Vernon, Michael Ammar, and others. It's been years, since I practiced with the cups & balls, and it's going to take some time, before I am ready to show anyone.

If you know anything about the Paul Fox set, you know what kind of quality I'm talking about. I wish I could post a photo. I have no means to do so. To the gentleman who sent me these, if you read this, I am MOST grateful. I cannot imagine how to thank you. One day, I would like to do something like this for someone. The value of these Cups & Balls is ENORMOUS!

Most gratefully,

Doug

I love the Kind of Bee hive looking cups. They have a real industrial look to them.

Motown : If you're talking about the vintage "Space" cups, no, they're not made anymore. They used to be marketed by Tannen's but that was a long time ago. I like the look of these cups too. Really stand out in a crowd.
