For those that missed what appears to have been a fantastic gathering, I am happy to share our report from TAOM 2010 courtesy of Magic Newswire field reporter Scott Wells. Scott managed to interview Michael Webber, James Garriott, Marshall Brodien and many more!

Not specifically connected to mentalism, but I always get thoughtful responses here so.. Anyone have any suggested questions for NY Times Tech Columnist, Apple Fan Boy & Magician David Pogue before I interview him tomorrow?

Hey Dodd -- cool that you will be interviewing David Pogue. I'm always interested in how often and in what situations amateur magicians perform. Does he do friends and family, at the workplace, or the occasional semi-pro show? Or not at all? And, to what degree does he keep up with the magic scene? Does he read new books, buy new stuff? And, finally, what are his favorite effects to perform?

Grill him about that wonderful Magic for Dummies book -- there are as many laughs as ten minutes with Aldo Colombini! (That's a LOT of laughs!)

Ok.. here is the result! A great interview with someone passionate about magic. I hope that you enjoy hearing your names mentioned! Thanks again for the feedback and questions. David enjoyed it!
Today I posted a conversation with the New York Times technology columnist David Pogue. In addition to his technology column for the NYT and his weekly appearances on CNBC, David has best selling books in print selling more than over 3 million copies including "Magic For Dummies". on this episode of the Spirit of Magic Podcast, David & I discuss his interest in magic and where it came from; how that developed into and interest in technology; how magic and technology work together today, and what the future holds for both magically focused periodicals and books! We cover many of the topics discussed in various areas of these forums and look forward to your feedback on our chat which you can listen to here: http://bit.ly/ceQxmZ |

Todd I would love hear an interview with Ricky Jay. I know that what has been said that he does not like magicians. I would like to know why he doesn't like them.

I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with David and would love to do more of these with people that love magic, but who are better recognized for their pursuits outside of magic. Any suggestions?

I just posted a new podcast featuring Dan Sperry & Rudy Coby. They discuss their upcoming appearance at the Las Vegas "Fright Dome." Rudy talks about his upcoming show at the El Ray Theater and the Halloween Week that he is producing for the Magic Castle. We also get some of the back story from Dan Sperry on his experiences as a competitor on the most recent season of America's Got Talent. You may think you know what it is all about from pervious interviews that we have done with AGT competitors, but some of these insights may surprise you. http://bit.ly/SpeCob
