Wow...I realize I wasn't in the US for my whole life but there are a lot of shows listed either I've never heard of or never have seen.

Are you adding it to your banjo repertoire?

The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.--Yeats

Interesting. I never thought of that. The audiences would go nuts! Maybe I'd get groupies and everything.

But...uh...I don't have the voice that that guy does.

Can't believe no one has said ...

1. Knight Rider
2. Airwolf
3. Dukes of Hazzard
4. Wonderbug (from the Krofft Supershow)
5. Mork & Mindy

I don't know about Mork & Mindy. The theme song was pleasant enough, but it wasn't catchy. For me, it always seemed to drop out of my head as soon as it was finished.

Douglas beat me Firefly heh

Dallas theme song. It always had a nice ring to me. Even today, I occasionally find myself humming the theme song. I wasn't a fan of the show though, go figure.

To me, the best musical score for a tv show was "The Rifleman".

- the opening
- the father/son theme
- the suspense theme, whenever a gun battle was about to happen, is unsurpassed (to me!)

Anyone remember the song in one episode that went, "Jake - Jake Pardee. Someday you'll hang!"

Great stuff!
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I don't remember the Rifleman theme but you reminded me about "Branded." ("What do you do when you're Branded . . . and you know you're a man!")

And on the same lines--"Johnny Yuma was a rebel . . ."

The theme from Callan. Very catchy. Makes light bulbs have a sound.

Peter Gunn.

Evidenced by the fact that you KNOW the song, even though you've probably never heard of the show.

By Henry Mancini, the man who also brought us probably the most infectious movie theme of the 60s...

(This version is not the original, its the Sting cover from the remake, but ist still excellent.)

Here it is in English...interesting to listen to the stylistic changes. I also seem to recall the German theme for The Never Ending Story film being just orchestral and very haunting.

Oh wow, my uncle wrote a parody of Branded.
