I'll probably get in trouble again for offering an alternative method, but here goes anyway. You don't actually need blades. You can get the same effect with thin hardboard or plywood panels which serve the purpose of sealing the boxes top and bottom. You can paint them silver or cover them with silver contac paper if you must, but no one is really concerned for the girl's life when you use the blades. The illusion is not that you cut her up, but that you rearranged her various parts.
Here's a thought. Before putting in the panels, have helpers from the audience wrap ropes around the separations and then pull the ends taut to make the ropes come right through all the boxes. You and your assistant would handle the one at the bottom to "show them how it's done."
