Like anyone doing hundreds of performances a year, some are better than others. Face it, DC's worst performance is still better than most anyone else.

David Copperfield is 54 today, not 56. He was born September 16,1956. Happy Birthday David!!

All the websites I have seen about David's life including Wikipedia list his birthday as September 16, 1956.

The last time I saw Copperfield he looked like he had just rolled out of bed and was giving it hardly any effort. This performance was unbelievable. I agree that he looked rejuvenated and the superstar that everyone looks up to. It re-inspired my magic

That is correct! 1956 - Not 1954

I don't know why he did't get a standing ovation from the judges! They stood up for Criss Angel, I'm fine with that, but did they even watch the two acts? I'm offended! The audience knew what they were seeing and they were all on their feet before he got off the motorcycle. He was stunning!
He's a legend! Absolutely amazing! And for what he's done for the art he deserves the fame and credit. He is one that is constantly striving for art. Real art! It felt like the judges were cultural ignoramuses yesterday I guess to quote them. Copperfield rocks! |

The reason why the judges weren't lit, didn't have any close ups and didn't give David a standing ovation was because those weren't the real judges. Watch the footage back and pay close attention to them. You'll notice its not actually them. Just a fun fact. Lucas |

You are correct, Christopher.
David's segment WAS INDEED pre-taped.

Regardless of how enthusiastic DC may or may not be on stage, on TV he really knows how to work the cameras. Whether or not you liked his illusions, there is no denying he came off like the star he is.

I thought his little opening bit with the hands was cool, and I enjoyed the motorcycle appearance, but the last illusion did nothing for me personally. I just found the presentation to be rather dull.

Someone please tell him to finally retire the crusher illusion. That's got to be the 20th time he's done it on tv and it is painful to watch. Of all the illusions he has at his disposal, I don't see why he keeps dragging that one back out. I've seen him do it twice live and it never gets a good reaction. It's like a 90 second throw away. Love the motorcycle though. Always been a good appearance.

Considering all the magic done on AGT he might have picked the Crusher since nothing like it had appeared previously on the show.

There was no real surprise or anything to give it that extra kicker or make it out of the ordinary...it just seemed kind of awkward to me. I was far more impressed with the surprise finish Grasso did for his last appearance.

Probably his best newest hunk is the appearing classic car with the dad story. Good but probably not possible to trim for the alloted AGT time.
