Well, I have been thinking that I could do a Halloween show at a local festival during Halloween time. I was wondering what some good tricks I could buy would be, or what I can do to make a routine seem....well, haunted.

Go to "The Cellar" here on the Café and check out the "The Spooky, the mysterious,...the bizarre" forum, there has been a lot of stuff on this topic posted there, as well as reviews of many a haunted trick.

Just change the colors of some of your regular show props. This month the 20th Century Silks I use are black and orange.

If you do boxes (like Square Circle) include Halloween themed productions. The dollar stores are loaded with bats, pumpkins, witch dolls, etc. that make great productions for the season.

Use your milk pitcher to pour blood into a newspaper. When you open the paper a vampire has drunk the blood. (Use Bloody Mary cocktail mix for the blood. It washes out clean!)

I posted this in the kid section but here it is again.

During a comedy routine a Vampiress fills the kid contestant's mouth with "blood".
The kids job, be the last to laugh and let out the "blood".

My job, make em laugh.

This was part of a collaboration with a group called Whoopdeedoo TV. The film a mock public t.v. show. (actually internet not cable t.v)

The stage and their costumes were of course, covered in plastic.

Tis the season to be scawy.

If you like silks, there is "Mis-Made Frankenstein". Good story-telling magic, there.
