I used to get the Big Bikes from an online store that catered to low vision folks. Cost was $10, I think. They don't seem to carry them anymore, and 2 decks on Amazon is $40. Did these decks become harder to find, or are there still shops selling them cheaply. Anyone know?

I haven't seen them for $10.00 anywhere, at least not in Bicycle. I would think you could get some generic cards for that price. The lowest cost I saw recently was on the Elmwood Magic website. They were under $14.00. I don't know about shipping costs.

Yeah, used to be 10 (maybe even 9) for jumbo bikes at HEAR MORE. I was just wondering if they are discontinued, since even the magic shops are listing some of the jumbo gaff decks as unavailable.

I was told the jumbo bikes were going to be discontinued, so I bought all I could find since I make the Jumbo Card Guillotine. Haven't been able to find any since. I do know if you can find them they are going for around $20 a deck. I have a few decks.

So far as I heared USPCC made a final run of the Jumbo cards, but declined to produce an other run of gaffs for it. All the inventors got very angry as they waited for their props to show up and had to hear VERY late that they will never get them. Another not so nice story from USPCC.
BTW, I will release the Worlds Smallest Jumbo Deck in the middle of October. It will be called Phoenix Parlour Deck. You can see some info about it here: http://www.phoenixdeck.com/ParlourDeck Perhaps that could be something that would be of interest for you as it will not be a "magic prop" in the eyes of the spectator as it still looks like a regular deck somehow...

You can get Piatnik jumbo's but they are not cheap. I supply them with the NEMO Rising Card.

Hello!
If somebody reads this old thread... I just received some Big Bicycle, but they are not so good : not Air Cushion and made in China. Do you know if I can find better? Thanks Denis |

According to the folks at Haines House of Cards, the China cards are what we are stuck with (thanks to the Jarden Corp./USPCC). Last year I bought two decks of Big Bikes and was told that the cards are going to be produced with an even thinner card stock in the future. FWIW

Denny Haney recently had a few of the old style Bike jumbos in blue backs only. I bought one of them. He may have some left.
They're $30 per deck. I really need to find a red backed jumbo deck now. Anyone have one stuffed away in a box? |
DrDenis New user France 40 Posts |
I had a blue "Big Bicycle" and I order a red one on the Internet... I receive it today, but it is a "Big Box"...
As they are not the same thickness and mainly not the same angle rounding, tou can't use the two decks together... |

I've been searching all over for the "Big Bicycle" cards. Denny Haney is out. He said he sold all he could get his hands on.
I just bought 2 Bicycle 8082 jumbo decks from a guy on Ebay. I have not received them yet, so I don't know if they are really the original "Big Bicycle" decks. I bought two blue decks, and as or right now he is showing 3 left: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141282346612 He also shows 5 of the red deck available: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141283539402 Again, I have NOT received my decks from this guy, I just ordered them a few minutes ago, so I don't know if they are legit. But I thought I'd pass this on to any Café members who may want to take a chance and buy these. They have the Ebay Money Back Guarantee. |

The ones on that auction site appear to be the same box graphics that are used on the China decks. When you get it please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I sent an email to the Ebay seller to ask if they were "Big Bicycle" decks or "Big Box" decks and this was his reply:
"No where on the box does it show "Big Box", only "Big Bicycle", but I'm not sure what you mean by originals. These are super high quality, brand new decks on thick card stock, and show on one of the sides: THE U.S. PLAYING CARD CO. CINCINNATI, OHIO 45212 U.S.A. MADE IN CHINA You can see a picture and better description on my other listing: 141234607019. I have sold a few dozen of these already, many to magicians, and I have received nothing but positive feedback. Sorry for the sparse pictures & description on this listing. I just put this listing on ebay temporarily for another buyer who did not want the set of 3 (mini, standard & jumbo), but I will now make this and the red ones a permanent listing, with better pics and description. Did you want any red decks? I have these listed for $5 more. Please look at the other 3 listings, and confirm that what you want are just the 2 blue jumbo decks. I will ship them together. If you want to wait until I post the other pictures, I can do that later today, or if you want to change or delete the order, that's OK too. Let me know if you have any other questions." So it appears they are legit, but I won't know until I actually receive them in a few days. I will post again when I get them. |

I decided to buy one of the red jumbo decks to go along with the 2 blue decks that I bought.
So as of now, there 3 blue and 4 red Jumbo 8082 decks available from that Ebay seller. |

UPDATE: Received my Jumbo 8082 decks last week. I was out of town so I just saw them today.
They are the real deal, original out-of-print Jumbo 8082 decks. Looks like that E-bay seller still has a few left, so I'd jump on them if you want real Bike Jumbo cards and not the cheap "Big Box" version they are selling now. |

I ordered a red jumbo deck from the ebay seller and received it a few days ago.
I agree, it is the same as my actual Bike jumbo decks from years ago. Regarding the wording on the box: THE U.S. PLAYING CARD CO. CINCINNATI, OHIO 45212 U.S.A. MADE IN CHINA I had never noticed that before but my old decks say Made in China also. But these cards are the thick cardstock with the smaller rounded corners and are definitely opaque. One of the problems with the new Big Box cards as well as other cheap jumbo decks is the cards are so thin that back lighting can become an issue in many situations, and I hated having to worry about it and cover for it. I would have to do everything very tight and keep the cards in front of my body. Just not something I liked having to do when trying to play as big as possible. |

I'm glad you verified that these really are the original jumbo 8082 cards. I don't own any old ones, so I had nothing to compare them to. |
