Try being a bit more specific for a start.
What kind of routines?

Bill's museum is a good place to look for inspiration for starters.

RNT II is now handling the Moonlight Magic Convertible wands. Made of exotic woods with solid brass tips, either one of which can be gimmicked, they are well-balanced, solid, and heavy. There are I am sure other wands which are just as good, but I doubt you will find any that are better.

I recently bought an Alivan's Lignum Vitae Magician's Street Wand used here on the Café. http://www.alivans.com/custom/cart/edit.asp?p=96083 It has a very nice weight. Simple and strong. Highly recommended. I also recently acquired a Bill Palmer wand made by Tabman's. Another strong wand that won't mark your cups. Very nice indeed. And the prices at Tabman's are very reasonable. http://www.tabmantables.com There are many, many, more folks who make and sell conjurer's wands. Check out: http://www.theambitiouscard.com/category......%20Wands http://www.rnt2.com/index.php?target=cat......y_id=167 Both Frank & Donnie are great guys who will take good care of you. Best, Doug

My favourite 1 piece wooden wand was made for me by Eric Hansen (Papasmurf on this forum), it has a lot of soul.
My fave 2 piece all wooden wand is a Hidden Wren wand (Gareth Gwatkin, GG on this forum.) When I take out a mini wand with me, I always use the one Bill Palmer supplies with his cups and balls museum cups, it's a lovely little wand in its own right. When I use my Animal cups and pouch I always use my Tabman street wand, it's very durable and has a great weight and finish to it. Bri |

Carl Williams makes a wand with solid silver tips sculpted with Dai Vernon' bust. Joe Porper makes a number of amazing wands, including one with Ivory tips with Vernon's image laser sculpted. See http://www.porperoriginals.com

All the wands listed here are nice wands. We as well as the others listed do custom work. Now get to shopping.

Log onto the cups and balls museum site and look at the wands there. You will see a lot of wands that would be suitable. Even a nice dowel stick of walnut with a satin finish would be a very good choice.

Since losing the collection of wands I had, I found a Chinese Chopstick that does the trick, so to speak! See the pair at the top? That's the one:

The telescopic ones are quite cool too Doug if you pick up a pair (they are available on ebay if you don't have a suitable Oriental supermarket.)

I use chopsticks as well. I bought quite a few my first trip to China, so I had to find some use for them. They have the collapsible or telescoping chopsticks on Amazon as well. Bri is right, they are cool.
My favorite real wand in an original Rings 'N Things wand with brass tips. It has a lot of character. I've been meaning to buy a take-apart wand, I just haven't yet. So, I'm finding this thread very informative!

Michael Myatt's work is outstanding. His wands are at RnT2.

Just temporary nonsense - not a real hack.
Thanks for noticing though! |

Glad to hear it. Those things make me very nervous. It can get real expensive for those who rely on these whacky computers.
