I found out that if you go to Walgreen's, you can buy a childrens deck of alphabet cards. Each letter is duplicated, which makes it a MeneTekel deck....$2.50.

You have to shorten each duplicate, or use roughing, before calling it a mene tekel deck.

Uhm, are we revealing something here? Moderator, maybe you have to remove the posts above.

The title of this section is called GAFFED & FUNKY, and you don't think that in and of itself reveals something?

Also, I see no advantage nor need to cut or roughen.

Yes, it does not need to be roughed or shortened to be called a MT Deck.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Please don't shorten or rough your little brother they don't like that Smile. I had no idea what a mt deck was until this post. Probably not a good thing even if it is gaffed and funky.

What kind of backs do the cards have?

Little fishes with bubbles coming from their mouths. Added an extra bubble is what I did.

Walgreen's is the home of the Stud playing cards, too, isn't it?

I didn't know either othelo but I must admit that the prospect of using letter cards with fishes on them to add a trick to my growing list is inviting, and finally give me a chance to check in at my local Walgreen's and see what they carry.

Thanks brody, and thanks Burling Hull!
