I seem to remember reading at some point that an egg will spin longer if you hard boil it first.
Kind of a bar-stunt.
It is always darkest just before you are eaten by a grue.

The way you tell if an egg is boiled or not is spin it. If raw it will wobble. An old trick to stand an egg up is to shake it real hard and break up the yolk and it will pool at the low point of the egg and help the balancing.
