Anyone know where they sell any standard poker size decks with flesh colored backs for a reasonable price? Maybe even in bulk? I know McBride has some but they are ten bucks a pack. I'm looking for a reasonable price.

Hi Financedragon:
If you're looking for Poker size cards to use in split-fans, etc., what about using Bee brand playing cards? There have been a number of top-notch pros through the years who have used Bee cards for card manipulation. That would get your cost down considerable. Other than that, you might want to work out something with your local dealer...maybe purchase a number of decks from him at a price between wholesale and retail. Ron Reid |

I agree on Bees if you don't want to spend to much money on manipulation cards. I have used my one pack of Murphys Manipulation cards for about a year now and they still work great!

financedragon,
If you want to see how well BEE cards work, check my ridiculously fast and furious and overzealous demo at: http://www.onlinetoday.com/users/rstewar......bum.html $3.00 a pack at most places and last FAR longer than any "specialized/fleshback/manipulation/...yackity...yackity...deck" I've ever used. BTW, I used blue back as my reds were not available at the time. Still looks OK. Have fun, Randy |

Thanks financedragon.
Make sure and never act that way on stage! If you don't get arrested, you'll end up clearing the house. Place and time for ALL. Good luck. |

Being the pale anglo-saxon that I am my skin is more pinkish then brown. I don't like Lance's deck or Norm's. Bee is the way to go for whitey.
I wonder what deck Edgar Winter would use if he did split fans?? |

The problem with painting the corners is it may interfere with "fanning" the cards. I practice, on video, with blue BEE cards. It forces me to be more mindful of those corners and results in improved performance with each session. Switching over to Red BEE makes for a walk in the park. |

I have also found out that Bellagio Hotel in Vegas uses Bee cards that are actually flesh colored on the backs. You can probably pick up some of these for fairly low price as they often give them away in promotions as well as selling them cheaply from the ones they use in the casino. It may be worth looking into.

Dai:
Thanks for the information. I knew they had them as I was just out there last week. I knew I should have picked up some while I was there.

Email the owners of the site to find out http://www.wedoitallvegas.com/Chips.asp I assumed since the Bellagio cards were mentioned as having a flesh colored back that the Bellagios all came that way. Maybe not ? Always best to ask before you buy if there is any doubt. I heard back from Kardwell ; they do not currently stock any of the used decks from the Bellagio Casino. A quick internet search via Google also turned up a bunch of different places selling used casino decks of cards. Look around, I'm sure someone has the fleshcolored Bees . |

What does it mean when they say the cards are cancelled on the corners?

Has anyone tried Duncan Trillo's new Manipulation Deck?
Although I prefer not to use manip decks, these look impressive stuff! |

It is a security measure to make sure that somebody does not just buy a previously used deck and slip a card into play (cheat with extra cards). The cancelling usually consists of 2 diagonal corners being clipped off or a hole punched through all of the cards. I hope that explained it clearly. If it says that these are canceled on the corners, I would assume they are the clipped corner type.

Sounds like cards with cut corners could affect some type of manipulation.

Maybe, maybe not. Keep in mind, these are not made for manipulation either. They are normal thickness playing cards, used for a few hands in a casino. With some practice, I'm sure you'd get used to the corners. (You don't have to use these specific cards from a casino)
