I just opened my first Tenyo that contians a DVD of some sort.
I haven't seen this in other Tenyo effects I have bought before, and this one (Synchro Boxes) had one and I have not yet put it in the player. The version I have BTW is the Japanese packaged product. Is it a training video, demo? Multi-language? Is Tenyo aiming to place more DVD's in future releases? I'm sorry if this subject has already been covered but just curious... Thanks.

Tenyo started packaging DVDs with some of their tricks in the past couple of years.
I've never tried one but I believe they are supposed to be instructional DVDs. I doubt that they are multi-language though because the English versions of the tricks do not come with the DVDs. I believe only the Japanese version of the following tricks come with DVDs so far: Magical Door Vanishing Point Syncro Boxes Millionaires Dream Cloud Money |

Cool - Yes I played the DVD and it was in Japanese but I could understand the instructional section and it will be helpful in learning the effect. There were also teasers for other Tenyo products and tricks, along with the main teaeer for the Syncro Boxes.
All in all pretty cool - I wasn't expecting that DVD at all.

When I say "understand" I meant the visuals obviously!

I think instructional DVDs should come with all the more complicated Tenyo effects. They're very cheap to produce and are VERY helpful. Many of the Fantasma magic tricks come with one. Alternatively, I once bought a (non-Tenyo) trick that came with a web link and a passcode. When you went to the link and entered the code, it gave you access to an online instructional video for the trick that was excellent.
Youtube has been somewhat helpful in that area. I once bought a trick that sounded good in the description, but when I actually got it, the instructions were so complicated, I ended up giving up. Years later, I saw it performed on Youtube and it immediately clicked what the instructions were going for. |
