Hi! Today after working the K'NAAN concert here in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Before we locked the theatre, I decided to check the schedule for November, and to my amazement I saw that on November 3rd scheduled for a 8pm curtain is Grand Illusionist Greg Frewin, as it stated on the calendar...so I am not sure how this happened? I know its not a private event, because I went on the ticket sales website and tickets are available for the general public. So I am just confused...What do you think he will bring with him? Do you think he will bring any of his cats or birds? I checked his schedule online at his website, and he has no shows booked the 2nd-4th at the Greg Frewin Theatre. Does he do shows like this often?...for those that are not aware of the distance its about a 9 hour drive from Niagara Falls to Sault Ste. Marie. Post what you think

Most performers that have their own theaters still do road shows if the money is good. Some have subs to fill in for them, others just let their theater go dark that night.
I don't know how elaberate Greg's show will be, but I am sure it will be great. |

The thing that confused me...is why only one city? our population is only 75'000, on his was here, he will go though some of the largest cities in Canada, with populations close to or over 1 million. So I was thinking, maybe somebody is bringing him in like a local promoter maybe?
Oh and yes, Greg never seizes to amaze me, I have seen his show at his theatre 3 times, and it felt like a new show every time. I am sure it will be great, it would be awesome if he brought his award winning bird routine though |

Greg opens with the bird act, I'm sure he'll bring it. He's got several acts that he books in on his dark nights off and he's always dark on Sundays. At current, it looks like he'll just be dark for those 3 nights around the 3rd.
It's a great show, I recommend anyone who is in the area to check it out. It's a world class show.

Okay, I understand now lol...and yes I have already told most of my friends about him some have got tickets, and others plan on it. I am really looking forward to helping him, and seeing what goes on backstage(not like a try and figure out the secrets) but like how he sets up the backstage area, what he does for lighting and sound for a show like this, etc. We have yet to receive the technically requirements for his show, so I am still curious if he will bring his own PA and lighting, or if he will use our top of the line system. It should be fun though.
Alex P.S. yeah I was thinking sense he does open with his bird routine that he would bring it. |
