Hi guys,
I've been searching around for Chinese Coins and Copper Coins that are 36mm in diameter. These are larger than a half dollar and just 2mm smaller than a dollar coin. So far no luck. Anyone have any sources? Thanks! |

Wow that was fast, Rannie! Thanks, man. I emailed The Magic Warehouse to get the exact dimensions last week but received no response. Still looking....

Forget about the dimensions.... I have had these coins for years. They are perfect for the oeso coins. Anyway.... it also depends on what year the US Peso coins are!

Looks like a match to me. Are these the same size as the Chinese Coins from Showbiz magic? http://www.showbizmagic.net/magic2.html#chinesecoins

Rannie and Curtis, you guys are so helpful.
Rannie, my coins are 1907-1912. These are the smaller of the two sizes. Anything before 1907 are dollar sized at 38mm. Which are you holding in the photos? Curtis, from the ad, it looks like the Showbiz Magic ones are dollar sized only. |

Rannie, you are the man, I am putting these on my website too. And now I FINALLY know the size of that "dollar" coin. I haven't been able to figure it out. Woot!
Can anyone tell us what years the 36mm size is of the peso coins? |

Hi Lorenwade,
Check out my post that you originally replied to over in "0.75 coins?" http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......start=30 I found the dimensions for these coins as well as a few others (Capped Bust, etc). The U.S./Philippine Peso coins that are 36mm are the dates above. 1907-1912. The ones before that (not sure the exact years, but 1906, 1905, etc) are 38mm (same as a US Dollar Coin). Hope this helps. |

I use several 36mm coins too. the 2mm difference makes some sleights easier.
In this dimension I have a real chinese brass coin with a big 12mm square hole that match the canadian silver dollar (1966) and the pakistani copper 5 rupee (1995). You can find many different 36mm coins by searching "coin 36mm" on eBay. Include title and description. |

Chris, I have some of the coins that I think are being advertised by Showbiz. They are not exactly dollar sized. The ones I have are, (measuring with my cheap plastic ruler) 36 mm across! Now, if I could only confirm that these are the ones Showbiz sells.
Posted: Oct 6, 2010 10:39pm ------------------------------- Okay, I found the coins. Joe Mogar sells them, and a lot of other sexy stuff: http://joemogar.tripod.com/id22.html He says they're 1 7/16" which converts to 36.5mm

I am gonna add this to the site, but not having a source website showing it is pretty tough. Most sites don't mention mm size. Thanks so much, I'll make sure it gets added tomorrow. Quote:

Score! Thanks Rannie and Curtis. Again! The first is the exact size and the other, though slightly larger, looks like a very high end coin (with milled edges and a lot of cool add-ons to match.)
Loren, it looks like the coins in the top left corner of the Mogar site, with various colors depicted, are the ones that are 1 7/16" (36.51mm) The ones from The Magic Warehouse, in Rannie's photos, look like they are exactly 36mm. I'm ordering! Thanks again guys.... |

I think I'm gonna order one or two as well. Super excited.

Very cool.
Looks like the ones Rannie's holding in the photos (from themagicwarehouse.com) are out of stock. Bummer. I've ordered from Joe Mogar to start. |

Rannie, are those chinese coins about the same weight as a morgan dollar? If they are, I'll be ordering them soon.
One for the money...., 2 for a pass..., 3 for a Fly..., and 4 for matrix!
