This is an email that I received about him wanting to contact his friend. If anyone has any information, please let me know so I can forward it to him. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give. Glenn
Dear Glenn, We don't know each other but met once back in the 90s when you did a carnival/magic training at the PD. Also, I live in your or Bennie's former house in Deerfield Station. My question concerns the father of an old friend of mine with whom I have lost contact. His name was Lin Searles (actually Lynn Searles). He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and lived in Southern Califormia. He supposedly was a renowned magician and had written books on the subject. His specialty was card tricks. He also wrote a series of paperback Westerns. He was killed during a hold up at his magic shop in the LA area sometime around 1970. Do you know this guy? If so, can you give me some reference/contact info for his family? A long shot, I know, but I've been totally unable to find my old childhood friend, whose name also was Lynn Searles. Thanks for any help. Fred Patch

I think he lived in Pasadena, you may check with Mike Caveney or Alan Zagorsky from Owen Magic Supreme.
