Any good magic shop will have a Rocky laying around. They are between $25 - $35. There are also other animals that you can use.

You can get Rocky the Racoon at most any magic shop. The idea is to watch real animals and try to mimic there moves to make it look and feel natural.
Also, I would look at any tape that has David Williamson on it. His handeling of Raocjy is pretty good and he does a hilarious bit using Rocky.

I once had security called at a mall b/c a customer complained that I had a live animal at my trade show booth.
Rocky can be very convincing. |

Is David Williamson the one who always does the one with the trained fleas (Hercules and Sampson) and he makes Rocky jump out of the kennel and grab the persons card while jumping through a "Flaming Hoop"

Is there a video with this act on it? I wish I had a chance to watch it.

I can answer both of those. David performed his routine in length on one of the World's Greatest Magic specials in years past. It has the entire segement on it and is a great routine.
I am not 100% sure what brand he uses for the cards but I do know that it is a "C.F. gimmick" put out by probably by Marcelo Contento. I have one myself and it works amazingly well. If you want to know the full details of what I am referring to, please PM me.

I usually feed him a bowl of "Rocky" Road and a dish of Spring water.
I know. It's a stretch. |

Groan!
Williamson's act is very funny and is ripped off by many. Maybe it was just the editing but I don't remember the bag ever leaving the woman's hands. Its was a great load or a great stooge. Either way, its a great routine. I use the skunk. Its funnier (particularly with a fart machine built into his box.) |

To answer Giuseppe's questions, you can get one pretty cheap at http://www.magicwarehouse.com.
Also I have a question. I am thinking of doing the same thing, do you think it is worth getting the video as well? Thanks, Evan |

Hey Evan i just got everything and the video was okay. i liked it because i am a visual learner and the directions weren't enough.
i hope it helps. Ps has any one ever had a dog try to bite Rocky. The first day i had him my psycho dogs tried biting his tail. So now Rocky has to stay in a drawer. |

My dog, who hates strangers, took off with her tail between her legs when I brought out Rocky. I thought it was hilarious.
The next time we have visitors that she doesn't like, instead of placing her in a bedroom, I think I'll just place rocky on the living room floor. Brian |

Oh, man!
I want one of those! Not just for when performing for kids, but it just seems like a really neat toy! Hehe

My Rocky is just 6 hours old, and my 9 year old son has robbed him. I'm on this forum looking for some good skits to perform with Rocky. I am a birthday party clown, and can see lots of possibilities, but would love to hear some other suggestions...?????
