What have you found as the best way to get rid of the tell-tale tail after you've cut the rope in "half" and wish to start over?
I dump mine in a hat or other prop while I "struggle" to reach the other end.

I just PM'd you with an alternative method.
Oz's demo on the Cut and Restored Rope uses this alternative method. You can view it here. http://www.penguinmagic.com/downloads.php

Thanks for the info. I use a similar method later in my routine but I really want to literally "start over" with no knots, trimmings or threads on the floor creating the illusion that the beginning of the effect hasn't even happened yet.

This handling is not Oz's, and has been utilized a lot. I like ditching it while reaching for the other end is optimal for what you want to achieve.
