What is the best way to glue a magnet into the end of a piece of rope? Any type of glue I should use over others?

Thanks!

There might be better, but I had success with old Elmer's white glue.

I sewed mine in and covered the very tips with White Out.

It worked wonderfully well and could be washed.

Core the very end of the rope and turn it in on its self . Put the Mag. in the turned in tube just a little deeper than even. Sew above and below being careful not to cinch it up so it makes a "rope clot". Try to emulate the weave of the rope and match the thread color with the rope at the store.

When you're done roll it on a clean surface (with clean hands) to tighten the look and make it look more even.

Good Luck!

Mary, could you possibly post a few pictures of the process/or just the finished product.

Thanks,

Dear Matt,

I'm not very technically inclined but next time I'm photographing something I'll try to show you the one I have.

By the way, you should pre-wash the rope if you ever plan to wash it in the future.
