Hello,
Is anyone currently doing this type of act in the UK and does anyone have any info on where to begin learning such an act. I currently perform a needle swallowing routine, which is nice, but I want to learn more about actual old style regurgitation acts. I know this sounds like a complete newbie type question but any help with this would be great. Cheers, Ros PS PM me if you'd rather not post resources on an open forum

I'd do this act but I just don't have the guts.

Stevie Starr is a UK, and arguably the best regurgitater out there.

The only one out there doing it. Stevie is the best act in show business, next to Harley, me and one other performer (and you know who you are)

I've searched the web a little and Stevie is the only guy that crops up. Him and the Great Waldo, who tragically committed suicide it would seem, are the only two names that I can find associated with this type of act.
Waldo, a German, used to swallow and then bring back up a live mouse! Pretty cool if you ask me

Stevie is the only one performing it. There is a guy here in NY that does it, but he doesn't do it as an act. And there is a video on the web of a guy in Africa doing the Hadji Ali act of water spouting.

Alexander the Jester also does a spouting act, but it doesn't involve ingesting the water.

Spouting? What's that?

Imagine all the things you could do, if you could have a lot of water come from your mouth, in a way that you controlled.

There is a video somewhere of a guy who swallows different liquids – a fuel first then some water. Then he spurts the fuel on to a model house - setting fire to it then puts the fire out by spurting the water he swallowed before.
Looking on you tube now. |

I've seen clips of at least two contemporary African water spouters - one works as a street performer somewhere in Europe. There's also a paper on regurgitators in a medical journal written by Eddie Dawes some years ago - might be available to download somewhere, but let me know if anyone wants it and can't get it online. |

Was the Hadj on Penn & Teller's "Magic and Mystery Tour?"
I know I've seen a spouter before but I can't remember exactly where.

Hadji Ali has been dead for some time now. I don't remember a spouter on "Magic & Mystery Tour".

Not sure where I saw it then. The guy used colored liquids. I think he was middle eastern but not sure. Memory's weird like that.
