I came across this and couldn't pull up any Google posts on this.
Opinions please? It looks like a ga***d deck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnCA6pK1vG8

This first link is a full performance video, in case you haven't seen the full performance.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnCA6pK1vG8 I couldn't find much else on the web regarding reviews. But Sankey does have another trick called "Blackpool Effect" which is similar (I think). The blackpool effect link is below also. http://www.sankeymagic.com/detail.aspx?ID=48383 Personally I don't own Just Name It, but it looks good. Hope I've helped. |

Wow- I watched the clip for the Blackpool effect and it looks fantastic, really. Similar to "Just Name It" but with a better ending I guess.
For $5.00 as a download you probably can't go wrong here! I put an order in for "Just Name It Today" and I will check it out soon. Everything old is new again, right? Thanks James for the tips.

Looks kind of like Paul Curry's "Touch" with a cull to me. Then again, I spend way too much time reading old magazines and publications.

I think the original Touch by Curry looks far less contrived, but I do see there might be some value in doing the effect standing. The concept of "conditioning an audience" though, has made non-logical magic and presentation palatable to some. I suppose with enough conditioning, even the most non-uniform actions seem, at least to the performer, justified.
It just didn't do it for me, but I can be cranky. |
