Does anyone know anything about this trick? I’ve watched the demo several times and I can’t for the life of me quite figure out just what the effect is! Something involving what looks to be some small glass balls and a glass of water but other than that I’m lost. In all honesty this had to be the poorest demo I’ve ever seen! http://www.murphysmagicsupplies.com/vide......DEO1.wmv

What a weird video?
Lots of "oh my god" but what the heck is everyone looking at, and what is happening? Is the water disappearing? Is it appearing in a shape? I dunno.

I have this, you show your hand empty and reach into a glass of water and grab a bit of water. You squeeze the water and it turns into a water ball. You then proceed to make the water ball vanish.
Another effect is that someone touches a glass of water out of 4 glasses. You turn your back and the person moves the glasses around. You can then determine which was the glass he originally touched. |

Well, I might very well be wrong in making any judgment of an effect by its demo, but give me a break here! When one cannot tell what the effect is by looking at a demo that does not seem to bode at all too well as to the effect in and of itself. Just out of curiosity I'd still like to here any reviews on this......whatever it is!!

I jsut received it...It`s an awesome effect. but its not the same material. I tried it in a bar and the reactions were crazyyyyy. What I like the most is the vanish is so clean and I can show my hands empty after... so cool!

I'll have to admit its a crazy substance but it can never be handled by the spectator as being ice and simply not worth the bother and the mess.

In some effects, the spectators can handle it... there is also a good mentalism effect where the balls never appear. did you get the dvd or is it all assumptions?

This product was recently reviewed on the Wizard Product Review.
They start talking about it at 10 minutes and 58 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7ZRm55pRMQ The beginning of this video also has a brief update regarding the effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwqF521_oNY And here's a demo of the effect by Chris Ballinger of MagicGeek: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K91kPf9_gvY |

I just saw dvd last night..very interesting idea. The material could be in the market already..but the idea and routine to apply in magic something we have to appreciate it.

Egyptianprince, I find it very intriguing that 5 out of your 11 posts are all poorly written posts praising either Sub-Zero or "Oh! Card or money to sealed water bottle" also by Spidey. I really doubt this is a coincidence. Sneaky advertising ploys are absolutely not welcome in my book.
BTW you can find the materials (they are NOT magic gimmicks, they have just been REPACKAGED and sold for a higher price) at several science supply shops, such as Steve Spangler's site. Once again, this is NOT exposure. These have been in science catalogs for a while, LONG before this product came out. I am posting this as a public service announcement so some kid doesn't come along one day, hoping that it will be a great dvd, buy the product, and then be terribly let down. Censorship causes blindness. |

Yeah I'm a fan of spideys work, well done detective! And wether the source of the gimmick have anything to do with exposure or not, I saw spidey lecture when he opened michale Ammars lecture in canada, he exposed the secret in the lecture and from where I was sitting, looked like he did very well in sales
