Just wonder! can a 30 min mental show based on just cards be entertaining? Including f.e. NAME/PLACE Routine (instead of a name and a place, the spectators each chooses a card). All the effects don´t need to include cards physically. Just a combination of it!

Chan Canasta could keep an audience entertained with just a deck of cards. Here is an example:

I am somehow more drawn to cards. They make me feel comfortable, and that makes me a better entertainer, I think. But I usually wanted to avoid cards in a mentalism show, but I realized they make me feel good!

Mick Ayres, has several books titled the Act Series, that are complete scripted acts that he has used for thousands of performances for Disney.

They are allmost exclusivly card based.

Mick, talks about them during the new instalment of the JINX BROADCAST.

I don't see any reason why not. You could tie quite a few different stories around cards if you think about it. A chair prediction or a memory routine are just two that spring to mind

Thanks for the kind word, Jim.

For those that are interested, the first three books in the now-acclaimed Act Series can be found here: http://www.mickayreswares.com. Book Four is in the works.

Warm regards,
Mick Ayres

It is but not to everyone yet.

Had some problems with the forum that took some time to set right.

Hope to get it out to everyone tomorrow.

Thank you, KiKi, for your enthusiastic response to Book One...I certainly hope it helps you reach your goal.

J&H, if the planets line up, I will release Book Four within the month.

Warm regards,
Mick
