Being an old fart, I am sensitive to ageism, however; with Joe Paterno (age 83) just winning his 400th game with Penn State, should he still be allowed on the sidelines?
Plays often run out of bounds - if some kid out of High School ran out of bounds on a play, hit and killed him, is it fair to the player to have to live with that the rest of his life as "the guy that killed Joe Paterno" because some old coot wanted to stand on the sidelines. Whaddyou think? HH |

I honestly feel your train of thought in this matter has no merit. Just my opinion. Not trying to argue here.

If Paterno wants to kick extra points, they should let him.

Interesting. There was an NFL coach who retired and went to I believe Long Beach State to coach. After a win the kids dumped gatorade on him, he got ill from the drenching in the cold, and died.

Balducci,
He's lucky it was a fractured leg. Yes he should be allowed on the sidelines, but is it responsible of him? I think not and it's a tragedy waiting to happen. HH |

I think being killed would be an important life lesson for Joe
