I've been thinking of learning some version of the salt pour, and have been researching different versions including Levent's, Fred Kaps's, Kozach's, Jeff Hobson's, Roy Benson's, to name just a few. All of these follow the classic plot of making a fistful of salt disappear, then reappear from the hand--usually the other hand--in a prodigiously long stream (or some times, multiple streams from both hands). Then I recently stumbled across a Youtube video of an unidentified performer at the Magic Castle (see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw67ojaGOxU) who did a different type of presentation in which the salt was made to disappear and reappear a number of times. I also figured out that he was using a different gimmick from the ones used by the above-named magicians to effect the vanishes and reappearances, one that is familiar to us all, but which I won't name. I have since located additional videos on Youtube depicting performers performing variations on this repeat, vanish/reappearance approach to the salt pour, notably, one featuring Losander. I have two questions:
(1) Can someone tell me the name of the magician in Magic Castle performance? (2) Can someone point me to one or more published (written or dvd)sources for the mulitple vanish/reappearance version of the salt pour?

Terry Elton is a super performer, very dead pan face and great comedy lines. He made me laugh so you know he is very funny.

Here is Terry Elton site and he is selling his salt pour routine for $25.00.

Dirk Losander's Salt Game is available on DVD from a number of internet dealers, $35.00 and below depending on the dealer's price.

John Mohering also did a Salt Pour as part of his manipulation act. It was written up in "Texan Trixster". I think part of it was republished in Genii Magazine when John was named editor of MUM.

I think it would be neat to end Terry's version with a long salt pour
