From what I can make of it they have overwhelmed the cops and taken over the Tory HQ tower. Looks like the revolution has started!

What do that want? To get a free ride? I say raise the fee as high as they can. The ones breaking the windows need to be beat down too. Yes I am serious.

I wouldn't suggest beating anyone, but, I kinda agree with RS1963.

Well maybe beating was too strong of a choice of words. But they certainly shouldn't be left to go on their merry way either.
I say protest if you want to protest but you don't have to destroy things in the process. Breaking a window, or setting fire to buildings doesn't prove a point doesn't show one is right, All it proves is the person has committed a crime.

That is a better option then the full on beating.

It seems the students want what they were promised, from the politicians they voted in, instead of being double crossed by them. They don’t want something for nothing. Vince Cable will charge students thousands of pounds more for university, and has scraped an election pledge to oppose any rise in tuition fees. Politicians obtaining votes by deception, which is what it amounts to, is a greater crime than students smashing windows in protest of it.

Regardless of if the politicians "lied" it does not give ANYONE the right too be destructive to public or privet property. It also shows a lack of intelligence, and that people that do such things are a very low class of human.
Due to the protesters actions they should have it stuck them tuition fee wise. Yes it makes it harder for those that didn't do anything. Maybe it will teach those that protested and became violent a thing or two. I doubt it will but I guess sometimes what seems a false hope does produce fruit.

Let's see how those same vandals feel should they get a job and their boss tells them "we promised not to raise our prices so no raise for you!"

They're protesting the tuition being tripled?
I didn't hear or read what the actual numbers are, but that's quite a change in one year.
When I went to Penn State the tuition was $1,200 (Twelve Hundred) per year (3 terms). Now I'm told that it's $12,000 (Twelve Thousand) per term. That's a 30 times increase in 32 years. I don't how that relates except that I suddenly feel very old.

Agree, accept for the "lower class" thing.

Disagree. No one should be held accountable for the actions of others.

What class would you put such despicable actions into. The Upper Snooty class? The I'm so good I can do what I want class?
Yes charging the innocent more to punish the few isn't good but it happens all the time.

Did I say that it should? It happens in schools all the time or it did when I went. Sometimes a whole class had fun things taken away due to anothers acttions. It happens elsewhere too.

Duh did I say I didn't say that? I was saying that about the ones that were doing the violent acts. But I was also bringing up the fact that unfortunately every student may have to pay the price.
B.t.w Unlike some I remember every single thing I say on here.
Plus you completely side stepped my question. What class, rank, demographic. would you put the protesters into? Since you don't like my "very low class of human" remark.

Yeah, and inherent in what you say SHOULD happen is punishing those who did nothing. So, it should NOT happen, but rather something else besides punishing all students for the actions of some.
As for what "class" of human, it's odd you would give an example of "class" such as "The Upper Snooty class." Perhaps I do agree, maybe I spoke to soon. It would depend on what you meant by "class" of human. My initial reaction was to infer some sort of sub species, or scum. I would disagree, but that is probably just because we have different qualifiers for "scum," and you may not have even considered a "lower class of human" to be synonymous with "scum."
I would say they were idiots, but I wouldn't say that makes them a lower class of human. But that's just me.

I'm not sure if we would have that much of an argument over what would qualify as scum. Scum would be the lowest common denominator but this isn't worthy of that. Or at least doesn't seem to be. Low yes how low? I'm not sure. like santa suggested I guess slapping around quality low?
