A spectator freely selects a card from a normal deck, signs it, places it back into the deck and shuffles it. Once they are satisfied that the card is lost, you fan the cards and grab the card from the deck with your teeth. This is a great stand alone effect or could be done in additional to any ACR routine.

This effect is killer! Calen is a bad man for creating this amazing move. You will catch their card very accurately EVERY time and you are left in a beautiful position at the end with the card in your mouth and the deck spread that very easily explains to the spectator what they just saw. Absolutely incredible.

You will need to know the flourish (it is taught) to do the effect as shown. But there is so much more to learn than just a flourish. My favorite is that he teaches a method to have a freely chosen card controlled even after they shuffle the deck.

Do you throw in some dental floss and a tooth brush with every order?

Very cool.

He didn't fool me with this when he first perfomed it. The second time when mandy asked if she could shuffle the cards After the card had been placed in the deck that's when I was fooled.

This looks great. Is it impromptu?

Phase27 Clench is completly impromptu, and that's what makes it worth learning. Its something uniqe and different, you can always do at a moments notice. And saysold1 the tooth brushes and floss only come with the first 10 orders haha.

I think I prefer the "Biting Sensations" effect better.

Not me! That's too much! No offense to Calen, but Clench doesn't do it for me either . . .

I recently downloaded this. Excellent effect! I must say, if you aren't very proficient with card handling, it will take quite a bit of practice to get it right. I have ended up with a slight modification to the second technique in order to make it work. However, it works very well with my simplified version. I was also inspired by his phrasing of "I'm going to find it with my face." to create a humorous routine. There is just something funny about that line. I have other Calen Morelli items and I'm very impressed (If you don't have Dresscode, it is a must IMO).

By the way, I am working on his modified flourish technique as it adds a lot to the effect, so, even though I haven't mastered it yet, I do appreciate Calen's teaching of the slightly more advanced handling. My simplified version is just my best attempt at the modified flourish for now and it doesn't diminish the effect at all. I've performed it many times. I did it once for someone and as I "caught" the card in my mouth, the rest of the cards went flying into the air. It was pretty amusing/amazing when the flutter of cards finally hit the floor and I was left standing there with their selection in my mouth. Perhaps I discovered a variation to his effect. I call it "The perform it so badly it looks amazing!" Smile

Hey don't blame me. I didn't come up with the name. It's the Paper Crane people and their sick sense of humor. We're all victims here.

Kind of rolls off the tongue though wouldn't you say?

Clllllllllenched!

I love Calen Morelli by the way he's great. Sorry to make him the butt of a joke here. Just having a little fun Smile
