Can anybody recommend a good text on match magic? It's an area of magic that I have never really got into, but yet I find myself doing more and more tricks with matches as I spend more and more time in pubs!!!

I don't know of any books specifially on match magic. You may want to check out this thread. There have been some good posts regarding match/matchbook effects.

Years ago Martin Gardner published a pamphlet entitled "Matchic". It contained stunts and effects using matches. All those were collected in his "Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic" and in "Martin Gardner Presents", along with other early Gardner publications. Both books are well worth getting.

Check out Bill Malone serie, he has a killer matches routine (I think it is Skinner's Matches routine, but I am not sure).
I use it, and it kills! Ronnie Lemieux Montreal Canada

Nicholas Einhorn's book 'the art of magic' has a very good section on match magic.
