Hi everyone,
I've been rather busy lately and haven't had much time to spend on the Café and other forums, but I wanted to take a moment to comment on this new release I got from Bill. The effect as described is: You move a coin with your mind. The whole effect happens in the hands of a spectator. You touch nothing. Everything can be borrowed. You can even be across the room! The Effect is Self working. The Telekinetic coin is also great for psi parties and group gatherings. This is as described. What I love about this is because it is self working you can focus on the performance. I had a chance to use this a few times recently at a networking mixer, Starbux, and most recently a local dive bar over the weekend. The effect holds its own and really can be a powerful thing depending on the strength of the performer and how well they can involve the participant. If you are looking for an impromptu effect that will fit well in a social setting when you are called to show what you can do, this effect will give you the ability to have an effect that pops in the hands of your participant. For about a cup of coffee at your local Starbux you can get this manuscript at Bill's site http://glisk.weebly.com/traditional-mentalism.html I keep mentioning Starbux, probably because it is a bit cold here and a nice cup of warm coffee sounds good to me. This is a very nice impromptu effect. I recommend it to anyone who may wish to have an arsenal of PK and TK effects up their sleeve. Done as part of a series of effects demonstrating your powerful energies or as a stand alone effect it can spring glee and shock to your audience all at the same time....
I performed this effect for some staff here at work and I saw faces of shock and smiling faces all at the same time.....it really is a worker. With borrowed bottle and a borrowed coin, this is a very practical, simple effect that has you smiling that devious smile At less than 5 bucks, its a steal! Kam
If I speak forth, many a mind will shatter,
And if I write, many a pen will break. .....and when I consider my own self, lo, I find it coarser than clay! |

Does anyone know if this is different than his Telekinetic Penny in Ideas for Mentalism?

That is a good question Sandman, This is the expanded version of the effect. It has more information than what was contained in Ideas 1.
Note, When I reread the copy in Ideas 1 I had a problem with how the effect was written and described it seemed to me a bit unintelligible. Needless to say Ideas 1 will only be available for a little while longer(until I can remember the password and access the site LOL) because of this fact and it will be gone until it is completely fixed and intelligible but that will be sometime in 2011 hopefully sooner but I have a large amount of stuff to finish first. For the few of you who own Ideas for Mentalism 1 you will receive an updated copy once its fixed. Just so you know. It is officially on my blackboard of stuff to do. Thanks |

Just to add, this effect will be sensational when used with a group of people, ALL urging the coin to move and the addition of a pendulum to "focus" the energy....BANG!!

My order came very fast, and it is as described, impromptu and very easy, It can be done as a quick bar stunt or part of a series of effects, this works great and as said before, at less than 5 bucks, it’s a steal, get it now.

I haven't got mine yet; but I'm thinking about presentation ideas. Any thoughts? I would come up with some myself, but I don't know the methodology yet.

Hmm, nice and vague. looks like an empty bottle is involved. let me guess, the coin is laid flat on the bottle top? hopefully not.

Is this any different from the old science experiment I did as a kid - The coin on top of an empty bottle "talks" by rising a bit and clicking the top of the bottle. It's self working and hands off. Or is this actually something new?

Also, while the add copy doesn't say specifically that this is something in the hand, it does heavily suggest that it is and doesn't mention the bottle. The bottle is simply in the picture for the product.

This is the most disrespect to the creator of an effect in a thread I EVER witnessed at the Magic Café!!
