I am trying to get some others opinions or ideas on strong effects that are repeatable, very little to no reset and can play small or big. What would you recommend?

Do you mean repeatable to the same audience? Personally, I'd never repeat an effect more than once to the same people.

Not really, for the most part it will be for a different audience but occasionally people will come back to watch again. So cant be the exact same each time. If that makes sense.

Mobile Mentalism by Mark Strivings has quite a few effects that reset quickly and can be repeated.

Have you had a look through Corinda? Most of the effects with billets or writers are quick to repeat and with different results.

True, it's often best not to repeat an effect, however Multi Dimentional (colour cube) just begs to be repeated.. I do so (at the request of my close-up audience) and it NEVER fails to get a terrific reaction.

There are so many reasons not to repeat an effect to the same person that I avoid it at all costs. One reason is that the spectator almost always embelishes (sic?)what he saw when he thinks back about the effect. You lose that when the effect is repeated.

In order to answer your question intelligently, some clarification of terms is required. For example "repeatable" is open to a wide range of interpretation.

If one were to analyze my popular mindreading show by distilling each routine to its essence the entire 45-60 minute show is noting but a series of repetitions of the same basic "effect" -- specifically various audience members think of something and I tell them what they're thinking of; however, the show involves a dozen or more individually identifiable routines each of which may include several features or phases employing multiple methods.

Similarly, a particular routine may also be repetitive. For example, one of the prominent features of my show is a book test routine which can involve up to ten different books, a dozen or more audience members and a dozen or more revelations of words, phrases or images from the books yet to keep the routine interesting I vary the revelations and the methods used in the routine.

At the same time, I don't repeat any individual routine in the same show.

So in one sense it can be said that I repeat effects, but because the routines differ from one another the perception of an observer is that the show consists of a wide variety of effects; i.e., effects involving countries, numbers, images, words, objects, etc.

Although my repertoire is large enough that I can vary its content for repeat engagements, repeat bookings for the same audience are a rare occurrence -- like most full-time pros I earn my living performing the same act (or variations thereof) for different audiences rather than having to cope with the situation most hobbyists or amateurs confront -- having to come up with an endless supply of new material because they are performing over and over for the same audience (typically, family, friends and co-workers).

Without knowing your particular situation (e.g., for whom, where and how often you perform and whether close-up, impromptu, cabaret/platform or stage, etc.) it would be impossible to respond to your query in a meaningful or helpful way.

You work for trade show, so it means you're professionnal and you don't have any idea about what you can do ?
Buy the Corinda, Waters, Cassidy, etc...

As long as the results differ (your forces change) you can repeat anything that you're good at. The audiences will love seeing it again. If you are at tradeshows, you'll want them back to see you, so they well may be coming back to see specific effects.

Recommends: Think Pink, plays big or small, use it big with 4x6 index cards, 3x5 for booth/table work and Biz cards for C.U.

Right. Any that allow you to use different size cardstock for your different size audiences.

The second time you do an effect it's a trick simply because the moment is lost and it all becomes about working it out rather than experiencing the magic.

Not necessarily. Some effects just beg to be repeated and in fact, grow stronger the more they are repeated for the same audience. The best example that comes to mind is Patrick Redford's Prevaricator. I do this minimally 3 or 4 times to the same people and it gets progressively stronger reactions. But in general, I agree that repeat performances for the same audience are often ill-advised.
